The Barn is lovely. A beautiful conversion offering lots of space but with a warm coziness that makes staying there a very pleasurable experience. Loved the village shop and tearoom and the woodland walks. Dogs very happy in their safely fenced garden which is essential for us. Good facilities for the disabled apart from the low sofas. We managed with a booster cushion but an alternative higher chair downstairs would have been very useful. If we were revisiting the area we would certainly stay at Compton Farm again.

We had a fantastic time, a great place for a family holiday and really good for the disabled visitor.

The Barn is a lovely, light space to be in, with its lofty, beamed roof and floor-to-ceiling windows. The downstairs shower room is well-organised for the disabled, and kitchen easy, convenient and pleasant to use. This conversion of a Grade 2 listed barn has been well thought out, preserving original character while providing modern living facilities and a pleasant, non-intrusive decor which compliments the building's ancient ethos.

We loved staying at The Barn. It's one of the best places we have been to. The owners are very friendly as are the people I met in the village. Compton is a very pretty place. There are lots of good walks if you have a dog. We would go there again. June and Ian.

The Barn is lovely and we really enjoyed our stay and pub only 4 mins away down a little lane. You are in the heart of the countryside and the only problem is there was no signal on iphones we had 2 different networks and no wifi so you have to take that into account but otherwise would love to stay there again. Owners were very hospitable and everything went to plan with no hitches.

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the owner: Thank you for your comments. We are sorry to hear that you encountered problems with the Wi-Fi. On BT's advice we had used their Wi-Fi extenders either side of the router, however hearing that you had problems we have now employed an electrician to wire in fixed extenders to increase the signal strength.
