Excellent detached bungalow, 400 yards from Ullswater, with lake and fell views.

This beautiful 4 bedroom detached property is superbly equipped, with 3 bathrooms, excellent kitchen facilities and very good quality furnishings throughout. It benefits from a stunning location, close to the shores of Ullswater, with a view of the lake and surrounding fells The ever popular village of Pooley Bridge is 3 miles, with shops, tea rooms and pubs serving bar meals. The Brackenrigg Inn is 1 1/2 miles and serves bar meals, or for that special treat the restaurant at the MacDonald Leeming Hotel is only 400 yards. There is much to do and see around Ullswater, from the spectacular Aira Force waterfall, to walks on the high fells or cruises round the lake on the Ullswater steamers.

Ground Floor: Property has oil central heating and comprises:
Lounge/Diner: With sat TV, DVD, CD/radio, wood burning stove (fuel not provided, but can be purchased locally) and patio doors to the garden.
Kitchen: With electric oven and hob, washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave.
Bedroom 1: With double bed, lake view and en-suite shower with WC and wash basin.
Bedroom 2: With double bed and lake view.
Bedroom 3: With double bed and lake view.
Bedroom 4: With twin beds.
Bathroom: Which can be used as an en-suite for bedroom 4 with power shower over bath, WC and wash basin.
Shower Room: With shower, WC and wash basin.

All electric, oil and bed linen included. Sorry the property is not suitable for toddlers or babies.Outside: rear enclosed paved garden with seating and lake and fell views. Front forecourt with parking for 2/3 cars.

    Great comfortable house with all amenities. Wood burner a nice touch for relaxing evenings after being out all day. Would love to return again soon.

    I visited Tan with my extended family for our annual get together and it served us very well indeed. It is in a fabulous location with stunning views over Ullswater. The only minor point is that you cannot walk down to the lake from the property as access is not permitted. The are really no walks you can do safely from the property as the roads have no footpaths and are hazardous to walk along. As a result we drove everyday which was disappointing. Parking at the property is tight and could be improved by extending the gateway to the drive by removing part of the hedge. All this said, we all had a wonderful time at Tan. The location was so good that my elderly mum who can't get around like she used to, enjoyed staying in and looking at the view. The more active of us found lots of lovely walks nearby and the village of Glen Ridding is a lovely place to visit. I was feeling stressed before the hols, but felt really chilled after our break. Definitely recommend.
