This was a perfect base for us within 30minutes of Porlock.

the cottage was good but access could have been better as because of the time of year and the weather the footpath which is partly grass was very muddy, maybe a few paving slabs would help.

me &my dog did a last minute booking based on location and availability , the address provided is not where actually the cottage is located , so it is somehow misleading and we don't appreciate that. We booked for two nights but left after one...

Tacker Street cottage was a perfect location for us with two kids and a dog plus for some of the week my Dad and his partner. Lovely countryside just into the national park. Local pub with a play area for the kids. Only 20 mins from Minehead. The cottage had good space and a lovely front garden which was great for kids and dog to play. The cottage could do with some updating though especially the bathroom which would really benefit from a modern shower. Kitchen though good size needs some attention as does two of the bedrooms.

Brilliant location for walking. Right on the Coleridge Way. Cottage was good. Heating in 1 bedroom did not work, but storage heaters in the main rooms were very efficient. Disappointing water pressure, so the shower was a trickle. Could do with a separate toilet. The kitchen was well equipped. Excellent value for 5 of us. The website should give the correct postcode for the cottage, not just the owners house. The pub was nearby: good food. Village amenities included shop and village hall.
