The owners were very friendly and the cottage was in a beautiful location. However, the cottage itself could do with being updated, as the décor was a bit tired. In particular the bathroom (the water pressure in the bath/shower attachment) needs updating.

Excellent Place To Stay Ample Room For Family And Friends. We Love Rural And Its Definitely That. Our Only Isue Was The Shower Which Was More Of A Trickle, If We Had Stayed Longer Than A Couple Days We Would Had Baths Instead. The Owners Seamed Realy Lovely And Were Very Helpful And accomodating. Would Stay Again In A Heart Beat.

Only the water pressure for showering let it down. Wifi would have been nice too

Idyllic spot. Very peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of life. Very nice pub and shop within walking distance. Cottage is very good value for money but is quite basic in terms of the bathroom facilities. However I would most definitely return.

The cottage is in urgent need of updating and refreshing. Decor is very tired and reading through the comments book, many repeated issues have never been addressed over the years. The access/parking is the biggest issue and it should be made very clear just how bad this is as it is not suitable for very young (pushchairs) or old alike and certainly no use to disabled people. The path to the cottage is very muddy in damp/wet weather! The shower or lack of a decent shower is an issue, an electric pump would go a long way to resolving this issue (there are plenty of solutions now days to low pressure for spring fed systems). Seating in the lounge is insufficient for the 6 beds and the rooms are in fact (with the exception of the master bedroom) a lot smaller than they appear (a very good photographer had obviously been used!). The setting for walkers is beautiful but for those with families who need to travel each day to sightsee, it is not ideal. To be fair, we probably should have done a lot more research. BBQ was ready for the tip! Bathroom and one bedroom was damp and in need of urgent attention. Was awoken during the night on more than one occasion to hear scratching in the eaves/roof space? Shame because with a little bit of investment, this could be beautiful and then be worth more. No wifi or phone signal (on several networks), so a landline is really a must, even a payphone type, especially in the case of any emergency. Clearer instructions for disposal/sorting of rubbish would be helpful. No washing facilities although there was a washing line but no pegs! The cooker ideally needs to be looked at urgently, comments in the visitor book had been ignored and the cooker still had not been repaired, it was unsafe to use two of the rings due to unsupported rings causing pans to sink and tilt. On a positive though all bedding and supply of towels was really appreciated but would have liked to have been able to wash these in case of 'accidents' rather than using the bath for washing large items.
