We loved our stay at Strawberry lodge, yes we would go back. But it wasnt as rural as we first thought. With the new build houses right next door, and a tennis court and football field just to the left of the lodge.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner:- We are delighted that you would love to come back. We describe our position as semi rural for the feeling of peace that so many of our guests comment on, yet the easy proximity of Cheddar amenities and the reservoir for dog walking. There is a tennis court and playing fields also enjoyed by dog walkers behind the tall and full natural hedge. The new houses mentioned are passed on entry via a private lane but are then some considerable distance away and out of view. Please do review the comments made by many about tranquility.

The peace & tranquility were perfect! The lovely sheep grazing in the field, the birdsong and the utter serenity was a little piece of heaven. Comfort is catered for with everything provided in the lodge to make our stay relaxing.

Fantastic stay at strawberry lodge! Great location and close to amenities.... the gorge is literally a 5 mins drive or 20mins walk away - recommend going! The reservoir was also VERY close by. Lovely welcome by the lady and the strawberries and cream awaiting arrival was great. Only downer- the pictures looked like the lodge was on its own and actually the other lodge is right next door. And would be quite nice to have a little separation of fencing and gate for those naughty dogs that like to run off! It wouldn't be a problem, we just screwed in the metal stake but equally would be nice for the dogs to be off lead. Great place- definitely would go again!

Very nice small cottage in a secluded location. Close to the village yet far enough away for privacy. Easy access and a warm welcome. Dog friendly which was nice, however would have been better if the grassed area around the cottage was fenced so that the dogs could go outside without the fear of them wandering away from the cottage (or disturbing the people in the cottage next door).
