This converted, Grade II listed barn at the end of a row of four, is located on a quiet sheep farm and has far-reaching views across the Axe Valley towards Seaton. It has been awarded 4 stars by Visit Britain, and would be marvellous for two to three families accommodated in 4 bedrooms with 4 bathrooms. The heating comes from a wood biomass boiler, and the electricity is via a 50kw solar panel array. You have freedom to roam 150 acres of green fields and woodland, or sit out on the enclosed private patio with its water feature and revel in the beautiful scenery or watch the wildlife and farm animals including ‘Naughty Nobby’ the farm ostrich! A children’s play area is available. Seaton with its mile long beach is 2 miles away with the famous Seaton and District Electric Tramway, golf, fishing, and superb cliff walks. Lyme Regis, with its Cobb, offers good sailing and water-skiing. Visit the Donkey Sanctuary, Broadwindsor Craft Centre, Crealy Adventure Playground at Exeter or Bicton Park Gardens at Budleigh. The rich and rolling farmlands nearby are dotted with ancient market towns and mellow stone villages. The Blackdown Hills where gorse-clad hilltops descend through to secluded wooded valleys. Walkers will delight in reaching the Duke of Wellington’s monument. Shop 1.5 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

    The cottage was perfect for 6 adults, a toddler, a baby and two small doggies. The equipped kitchen was amazing and it was an easy joy to cater for a large party. The toddler loved the farm animals which were easily accessible to see and the proprietor/farmer friendly and accommodating. We would definitely book again, probably in the summer.

    A great holiday with a group of friends. We hired the Stables and the Granary and both cottages were very well equipped with lots of room for everyone and all our cars! Would definitely go back!

    The Stables is part of a complex on a farm. It has a great view from the main room and two of the bedrooms. Its not totally suitable for very disabled visitors as there are steps but its ok for moderate disabilities. It is comfortable and has just about everything you need for a family. The fitter ones in our party enjoyed the walks up the hill for the views. Plenty of room for eight. The dog had plenty of walks and the garden was secure for him to run around. No really close shops but its only a mile to the nearest general/paper shop and the pubs around the area are good for food. We had a basic food delivery on arrival day from Waitrose in Sidmouth and there is a Tesco's in Seaton. A good central location for activities on the Jurassic coast.

    Comfortable, spacious , well equipped accommodation . Lovely rural location and only a few minutes in the car to seaton and all amenities . Ideal for 3 generations of a family plus 2 dogs. Ideally cottage needs updating and modernising , but having 4 TVs and 4 bathrooms was great.

    A delightful cottage, very comfortable with everything you need. Very private outside areas with beautiful scenery. Good location and nice pubs within easy reach.

    We were a group of 7 adults and 2 dogs, we had a wet week in Jan but loved our stay in this cosy barn. The property was very convenient with facilities for us all even the hose outside for muddy dogs and boots and the airing cupboard to dry things. Kitchen equipment was great, we had a late 'Christmas' whilst there and cooked a turkey and trimmings without any problem. Nice little private garden but the dogs enjoyed the extra fenced off area to play ball etc. Mike and family very friendly and helpful but left us alone unless we actually bumped into them. Overall would recommend this property and we are thinking of returning.
