No clean towels, couldn't use swimming pool or hot tube because all the trees/bushes were overgrown. Bathroom was really mouldy and the whole bungalow was damp for three days until the heat and air got in. Sofa's were broken.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your review. This is such a shame as we live right next door and spoke to your husband on a regular basis checking everything was OK and nothing was ever mentioned, we could have sorted this all immediately. We did provide clean towels in the bathroom and bedrooms at the beginning of your holiday. The bushes were slightly overgrown but this did not stop other guests from using both the hot tub and the swimming pool although the weather was poor and the swimming pool was not used a lot. The bathroom has never been mouldy and we would appreciate this being shown to us at the time, we do check on the property periodically during anyones stay and did not see any problems then. The cottage is an old converted barn with walls 2 feet thick in places, we do recommend windows are left slightly open to allow air to circulate. There are night storage heaters in every room and these had been on from the previous weeks bookings and the cottage is always sufficiently aired. We had no idea the sofas were broken and having looed into it this could not be easily spotted. Again, along with all the above, we would appreciated being told at the time and then we could have sorted it out immediately. We have owned and run these holiday cottages for nearly 30 years and from comments in our visitors books we want our customers to enjoy their stay with us and go out of our way to make sure everyone is happy.

Fantastic week away, the owners couldn't do enough to make your stay absolutely perfect. The staff on the riding school were also very friendly and helpful, would highly recommend, an absolute gem!

A fantastic location which has fantastic potential. The property we stayed in was lovely and old cottage feeling but the smell of musty damp was quite overpowering. The real let down was how unkept the pool and hot tub were, this is a great place to stay but it felt like the accom side of the bossiness pays slight second fiddle to their horsey thing that they have going on
