Outstanding cottage, this property really was a home from home. It's in a lovely secluded location, with a corn field at the bottom of the garden. The interior of the cottage was outstanding, fitted out to the highest standards, the beds in all rooms are extremely comfortable. Without a doubt we will stay there again, but next time for longer than four nights though. We have stayed in many holiday cottages and Villas abroad over the years, and Scobach must rate the highest in quality & comfort If you are after a cottage in the Turriff area, then this cottage is most definately one to very seriously consider.

The cottage is spacious and in a very peaceful spot with a good range of shops and eating places in nearby Turriff. Rooms were comfortable, neat and tidy, although on our arrival a few pictures and mirrors had not been replaced on walls after repainting work. Some aspects of the cottage, such as clothes storage, kitchen utensils and towels, would benefit from renewal or upgrading, but overall the cottage is ideal for a relaxing break.

We needed somewhere in this area for Christmas and Scobach fitted the bill. We didn't spend much time there because we were visiting but everything we needed was available, although the vacuum cleaner didn't work until I dismantled it and removed about 10 years of dust and fluff. Three radiators needed bleeding but this caused the system to shut down until a plumber arrived to repressurise it in a zone that was not accessible to us. The response was very prompt though and we were never inconvenienced. The location is on a very rural road and at the time of year could easily become inaccessible with just the merest snow and ice. We were lucky - just! Overall, it was a bit "tired" but met our needs, and would be great for a summer walking centre.
