Wonder family cottage, only 100 yards from the harbour with sandy beaches and Rick Stein’s restaurant nearby.

This holiday cottage, which is set just 100 yards from the beautiful harbour of Padstow offers a rare opportunity to stay in this much sought after holiday destination. Equipped to a very good standard the cottage has been decorated and furnished with much flair, set on three floors it boasts a terraced area to the rear ideal for alfresco dining. Padstow has much to offer at any time of the year with excellent restaurants including Rick Stein’s seafood restaurant, pubs, coastal walks, sandy beaches and coves. Boat trips can be enjoyed from the harbour across to Rock or just a few hundred yards from the property lies the Camel Trail which leads to Bodmin Moor and offers cycling, walking and horse riding along the Camel Estuary. This cottage is well placed to visit some of the many tourist attractions that this area has to offer including the legendary Tintagel, the mystical home of King Arthur, Boscastle with its pretty harbour and Port Isaac, where the TV series ’Doc Martin’ is filmed. You can also take a short drive to the Eden Project or to the wonderful gardens on the south coast. Shops and pubs 100 yards.

    Excellent location, good accommodation but needs some maintainance. Always very clean and well equipped.

    Very adequate property but well short of the 5 star claim. Welcome note advises renovated 10 years ago then just instructions on bins and warning about council coming to inspect barbecue not that we found one. Welcome pack of tesco value basic items. Uncomfortable bed and no wifi as per previous comments. Good central location for lots of bars, cafes and restaurants. Double glazing helped with noise from delivery lorries to bistro a couple of doors down and catering company over the road. Padstow was an excellent place to visit. Unable to see why £25 extra charged for dog.

    This property was like a tardis, 3 floors, mint condition, very comfatable. The location is a few minutes from Padstow town. Parking was a bit of a pain as the nearest carpark was only available in the morning or late afternoon, so if you go out and come back around lunch you will struggle to get a space. The biggest problem we had, which when looking on the reviews and in the visitor book seems to be ongoing was there was no wi fi. We booked this a year in advance then got an email telling us this 6 weeks prior to going that there was not WIFI. Not sure why this is, but it seems that owners are insistent on leaving it this way. Be warned if booking, because I took it for granted that a 5 star property in 2016 would have wi fi, apparently not.

    Sandpipers is clean, comfortably furnished and very well located, but I couldn't believe a 'luxury ' cottage didn't have wifi. As frequent overseas visitors to the UK , we rely on wifi for Skype and email to keep in touch with family and neighbors at home. Being without wifi was a considerable nuisance in this respect , and also because we didn't have information about restaurants, gardens, ferries, footpaths and other local attractions at our fingertips.

    Fantastic location-Padstow is such a lovely town and this cottage is easy walking distance. Cottage is well equipped and perfect for a family. Only changes I'd make would be to add wifi and maybe make sofas a bit more comfortable.
