There is also a train station, model village, waterside restaurants, cafés and shops available.
For the gardener, a visit to the 32 acres of garden at the Old Vicarage Gardens at East Ruston is a must. Golfers will enjoy Mundesley and the Royal Cromer golf course. What a great place: firstly, the milk, tea and cake to greet us on arrival. That was a good start and things just got better. The bedrooms were all a good size and had ample bedding. The towels were large and fluffy. The kitchen was very well equipped-even down to baking beans!! The bathroom and ensuite were extremely well appointed with large, fluffy towels. There was even a dog bed with vet bedding. The beach was a stones throw away. You could actually hear the waves as soon as you stepped out of the garden, which was fully fenced-great for the dogs. The Chinese restaurant a couple of doors away was fabulous-we used the takeaway, but you could eat in the restaurant. The general stores were 5 minutes walk away if you’d forgotten anything. Oh! Did I mention the large fluffy towels? We would definitely stay again and recommend it

We had a lovely holiday plenty of space for 3 generations, the children especially liked the attic bedroom/toyroom. Great location close to the lovely beach and an ideal base for travelling around Norfolk. Would definitely recommend.

We had an enjoyable stay at Samphire which is an extremely well equipped home from home. The house was a lot bigger than we anticipated and with 4 adults a baby and a dog there was room aplenty. A lot of thought has been given to make sure if you might need to occupy yourself there are books, cds and games for all members of the family. The local eateries were good and would definitely recommend The Poachers Pocket and The Lighthouse Inn. All in all a lovely time was had by all.

We arrived to a freshly home made cake and some milk for a cup of tea. The house is lovely with a nice feel to it. there is a fantastic loft room with lots of toys for our daughter to play with - she loved it. The bed wasn't the most comfortable (middle double), and he bedding in the main room had the smell of not being clean and we washed all of it the following day. I didn't think I would be doing others laundry but here you are. The rest of the home was clean, although not to my own standards with skirtings etc clearly not dusted down. The hot water system is so hot that the water scalded from the taps. This was an issue of mention in the faults book more than once. the heating seemed to stay on in the utility room and toilet despite turning down the thermostat - and we had weather in the 20's Centigrade! That said, the home is great. We travelled to various beaches all week and had glorious weather. Would we stay again, yes most definately

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback, and I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay. As for the points you raised - Bed comfort is a personal opinion and we haven’t had any other complaints about beds being uncomfortable. As for dirty bed linen, I can assure you that all bedding is changed at the end of each stay. Again cleaning levels are a personal opinion, we have consistently good feedback on cleaning and I am sorry that you had to find fault. In regards to the hot water and heating, this was not ignored, it was checked by ourselves and our plumber and comments to that effect were also put in the maintenance book. All of the taps are mixers so water temperature can be adjusted, and showers are thermostatically protected. As for the radiators in the Boot room and Cloakroom being permanently on, they are on the Hot Water Circuit to enable towels to be dried in the summer; they have valves and can be turned off if necessary. Thank you.
