This is a beautifully clean, well equipped, small cottage in a stunning location. We missed an upstairs toilet, but everything was as described in the booking information. Almost all the electricity is included, so we were pleasantly surprised that the meter cost was lower than expected. Lovely hot water for baths and easily worked shower. My son, an ex chef, found everything he needed for cooking some of the meals and plenty of space to barbecue outside. Excellent sausages etc from the farm shop in Hope. We had lovely weather, so ate outside, on the picnic table, everyday. The spacious garden, with trees, was superb for Bramble, our 11 year old border collie, who didn't want to come in from playing. Lots to see and do in the area. Lovely location for a relaxing holiday, without computers.

Wonderful location and we loved the garden. We were blessed with great weather but would have found the sitting room with its multi patterned carpet in such a small space claustrophobic. Otherwise very comfortable.

We spent a very nice week at Ryecroft and enjoyed the absolute quiet. The cottage is also an excellent basis for all sorts of walks and rambles in the Peak District. There is absolutely enough room and the cottage and its surroundings are charming.

A lovely secluded cottage in beautiful countryside with a generous garden. Very clean and comfortable traditional but with all mod cons. Especially liked the open fire. A very peaceful location where you can do as much all as little as you wish. Excellent spot for bird watching. This was our third visit and hope to visit again. The dog loved it as well and slept for nearly a whole day when we arrived home.

Lovely, sunny week with lots of walking. The beds were comfy, the kitchen well equipped and the bathroom was also very up to date. The cottage is well tucked away, very peaceful, and our dog enjoyed the garden. You need to like opening gates if you stay here, and be prepared for it to feel very compact. A good centre for exploring the Dark Peak.
