This cottage was amazing and the owners just fabulously helpful without being intrusive. We wanted a holiday in rural England with high end accommodation and that is exactly what we got. The cottage had everything you would need including cleaning products, toilet rolls, shower gel, cling film and foil and even a cafetière. The area was great too with two pubs, shops, post office, Chinese, Indian and pizza takeaways all in nearby Stamford Bridge. Ours dogs were also made welcome and we had the best holiday we have even had in the UK. Thank you so much to Tim and Sally for this beautiful opportunity xx

We have just returned home from our stay at Rusty's cottage. We loved our time there, the cottage had everything we needed for our two weeks. The owners were very welcoming and had left very generous welcome-provisions for us. The cottage is very private and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. The views are lovely, as are the animals in the paddock. Parking was generally easy, which is always important in a holiday property. The cottage is very well situated, you can get anywhere easily, especially to the Park-and-Ride into York. If you like gardens don't miss Breezy Knees and Burton Agnes Hall. All in all we had a very enjoyable holiday and would definitely recommend Rusty's Cottage.

The cottage is well equipped and was spotlessly clean. The cottage owner greeted us on arrival and showed us around the cottage. The cottage is well placed for visiting York and there is a good choice of other attractions in the area. Traffic around York can be a bit of a nightmare at busy times. A well placed, well presented and well maintained cottage. We hope to return soon.

Due to the recent sale of our touring caravan, this was our first ever cottage holiday. I have to say Rusty's cottage lived up to the comments in the brochure and previous reviews. The cottage was immaculately clean, the owners Tim & Sally were very friendly & helpful and the welcome pack was a lovely touch, the cake and apple juice went down a treat after a long journey. The cottage contained all of the necessary equipment to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Location is good, park/ride to York is only 10 minutes away and convenient routes to Yorkshire tourist attractions are easily found. The village is very quiet but we liked this, local amenities are only 5/10 minutes away by car and walks for the dog are in abundance. The only criticism we had was the mattress was too hard but this is subjective and it would not stop us from visiting again. Overall an impressive way to start our new venture of cottage holidays.
