A second visit to Roundhill and it's just as nice in the winter as it is in the summer. We spent most of the week tucked up in front of the wood burner due to the bad weather and our holiday was none the worse for that. It's a very cosy property and the seasonal decorations added to the atmosphere.

We enjoyed a very comfortable holiday in this excellent property which had the best welcome pack we have ever had. This property is quite isolated, which we really appreciated, with beautiful views over the fields of horses and open countryside beyond. The owner was welcoming and friendly but not intrusive. The only negative was the noisy water pump which started every time any water was used and was next to the twin bedroom - not a problem for us in the double bedroom though it was for others in our group. Roundhill was perfect for us and our two dogs and we are going to book again next year.

A very comfortable and cosy bungalow in a delightful situation in a private part of the farm overlooking wonderful countryside. On our arrival there was a very generous welcome pack and our friendly hosts were available to sort out any problems and give advice about interesting places to visit of which there are many within easy travelling distance. There are villages nearby which have shops for essentials and pubs for drinks and good food.

We've been staying in cottages for years and Roundhill is by far the best we've stayed in. It's beautifully furnished and well-equipped. The views from the cottage are incredible and the garden is a perfect balance of cultured and wild. Our two dogs absolutely loved the space of the lawns and the wooded area. We stayed during the hottest week of the year so far so didn't have much inclination to explore the local area, being happy to relax in the enclosed garden. The cottage is easily accessible but quietly situated and the only noises we heard for most of the week were the birds singing and bees buzzing. Important for us as we like to stay in during the evening, it has a decent sized TV and wi-fi and a lovely kitchen. We usually find some small downside to cottages but there was nothing we didn't love about Roundhill, including the owners, who were friendly and generous. We had a truly relaxing holiday and would love to go back.
