Description

Overlooking one of Broadstairs’ sandy beaches, this is the perfect location to enjoy a family holiday by the seaside.

Opposite the beach with sea views

A perfect holiday home for groups of friends or an extended family, to enjoy the ambience of a village style seaside resort in either summer or winter. Broadstairs, named after the “broad stairs” carved in the cliff that led from the sands to the 12th century shrine of St Mary, boasts seven beaches, three of which are holders of the coveted 2010 Blue flag Award presented to Europe’s top coastal destinations. Ron’s House overlooks one such award winning beach - the quiet sandy “Stone Bay” offering 200 metres of golden sand, rock pools and a promenade. Broadstairs popular Folk Week Festival runs annually in August, and if you’re visiting Broadstairs with teenagers then Revolution Skate Park which operates out of Viking Bay is well worth a visit. There are also climbing and BMX sessions available. For walkers and cyclists alike, join the Thanet Coast Viking Trail – part of route 15 of the National Cycle Trail, and no trip to Broadstairs would be complete without a visit to a seafront ice cream parlour and watching the dazzling fireworks on a summer evening. Shop, pub and restaurant 1/4 mile.

Fantastic location, close to the beach and town with more than adequate facilities. Helpful owner and caretaker who quickly resolve any issues that can arise with a house of this vintage. Our children and grandchildren love it's character and space.

Excellent location for both Stone & Viking beaches & for walking into Broadstairs. Quiet. Good 2 car parking provision at rear (trickier at front). Nice large house with good kitchen, conservatory, dining area, patio (good furniture) layout. Good rear garden for toddlers & sitting out / barbecue. As others have previously commented the lack of hand washbasins (one in main bathroom on first floor i.e. shared between 5 bedrooms & one in ground floor toilet) is a significant inconvenience with a large group. Despite this we had a lovely time (family - 6 adults, 3 small grandchildren) and would certainly revisit.

Nice location fab house, but no welcome pack no tea, coffee milk or handsoap! It was a very expensive weekend a few basic would be good. Handsoap in any of the bathrooms should be supplied also the house smelt damp so we opened all the windows, we were lucky and had good weather.but they really need to make a bit of an effort with basic stuff !

A perfect house for a family break. Large and comfortable, across the road from the beach with lovely views and close to the town centre and Viking Beach. Us grandparents, children and grandchildren had a great time at Ron's House and would thoroughly recommend it and definitely want to go again.

Great House in a perfect location. The only let down is that there is not enough proper bathrooms, a shower in the bedroom is not enough.

Great stay, some things in need of updating but think that's happening this spring. So much space, great for the kids and perfect location on outskirts of town (2 min walk)

This was our first trip to Broadstairs but even if we'd been hundreds of times we couldn't have found a better location than Ron's House! A short walk to the town and main beach, and almost direct access (just across the road and down the slope) to Stoney Bay which was quieter and great for walking, swimming, building sand castles and playing. The house is VERY spacious... Plenty of room for 8 of us to keep out of each other's way. It's fantastically well equipped and very clean.

Overall we enjoyed staying at Ron's House. It is a large and comfortable house and there was ample room for the 10 of us - plus the dog. We particularly enjoyed the air display and fireworks as we used the balcony for one and the rear garden for the other. Everyone enjoyed the beaches and we were extremely lucky with the weather.
