It has often been said that Rosecraddoc Manor must be the nearest thing to paradise. The manor properties stand in 38 acres of beautiful grounds and woodlands, set around a lovely lake, stocked with carp, roach and bream. Rosecraddoc Manor features a variety of properties surrounding the historic Manor House to cater for all tastes whether classic, modern, cosy or cottage style is what you are looking for. The manor was built in the 1820s on the site of a much older house mentioned in the Domesday Book. It is Grade II listed, along with two bridges in the grounds, and has now been converted into these attractive apartments and villas, making a perfect base for your Cornish holiday.
On site you can fish in the lake (bring own fishing licence, barbless hooks and landing nets must be used, please) or play tennis on the all weather court (smooth soled tennis shoes to be worn, not squash shoes; please bring your own racquets and tennis balls). If you can bear to leave this beautiful spot, just 2½ miles away in Liskeard there is a superb leisure complex, where you can enjoy squash, badminton, gym, indoor bowls and indoor leisure pools, which include a children’s pool and flume, as well as the main pool.
Within 4 miles you can explore Bodmin Moor, where you can go riding, walking or even try water sports on Siblyback Lake - wind surfing, dinghy sailing and canoeing are available. To the south, lovely sandy beaches and pretty fishing harbours lie along the coast. Several excellent golf courses can also be found in the area; and the Eden Project is only 20 miles away.
The Manor and the Coach House have been tastefully and sympathetically restored to please the most discerning guest. Some of the villas are suitable for guests with disabilities (CV44 is designed for the convenience of visitors with disabilities, as well as able-bodied visitors), and Riverside Villa boasts an American fridge freezer. Access to the front door of the Manor is by 3 stone steps. Whichever you choose you will find it immaculately clean, with freshly laundered linen and tea towels. Please bring your own towels. Cot linen is not supplied. Cornwall is well known for its mild climate, but at Rosecraddoc Manor, even if it is cold outside, your accommodation will be warm and welcoming. Jacuzzi and spa baths are available in some properties (please check prior to booking). There are several pubs locally, and a leisurely stroll to the foot of the drive and across the road leads to a licensed bar and restaurant. The Village Inn, serving a wide range of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, has an extensive menu including children’s meals. It also hosts a large TV screen, barbecues, patio area, pool room and children’s games, with live entertainment, quiz nights and karaoke held regularly during the high season. Horse riding can be found bearby. An ideal venue for all the family.

Ground floor: Living room with French doors. Dining room. Kitchen. Two conservatories. 3 bedrooms: 1 double with en-suite bathroom and toilet, 2 twin, one with en-suite shower room and toilet. First floor: 2 double bedrooms (one 5ft), both with en-suite shower room and toilet, one with balcony.

The cottage was clean and comfortable in a lovely setting. However the cottage did feel in need of modernisation and more thorough checking/TLC - with the numerous dead lightbulbs, loose plug sockets, dodgy windows, loose toilet seats and toilet roll holders, etc. somewhat taking the shine off the place. None of these were worth contacting the owners about on their own - we were not prepared to interrupt our holiday trying to contact them or have repairs undertaken for trivial issues - but they should not have been there in the first place. The lack of doors to the two upper bedrooms was ridiculous and crippled the idea of staying here again for us a large family. If any one person in the house of 10 got up to use the kitchen or other living/dining room space it essentially woke the whole house. It robbed these rooms of any privacy. Our family is extremely close so we could not imagine how people less comfortable with one another would find this. We were surprised by the lack of contact from the owners. The balcony was out of action due to poor weather. Clearly this is not their fault. However, they told us on day one they had put tarpaulin on it to stop the leak to the conservatory below, again fine, and would return to see how we were. No subsequent contact was made again and so we were left with a dripping conservatory, that we just closed the door on and did not use, and a largely inaccessible balcony for the duration of our stay. We saw the owners on departure and this was not mentioned, and neither were we asked about our stay or wished a safe journey home. Maybe they were just preoccupied at the time, but for me this is common courtesy and the least that should be said to departing guests. We were surprised at the requirement to use black bin bags for the rubbish when no black bin bags were provided and the lack of toilet rolls on arrival.

Listing should note that the upstairs bedrooms are lofts and not private with doors.

We loved the house but there were a few disapointments. The details did not mention that there are no doors on the upstair bedrooms which are off the two main reception rooms. Safty was in question when the shower leaked through the kitchen spot light. However the reception with mince pies, stolen and decorations were a realy great touch.

We had a lovely stay. The people were very friendly and helpful. The villa was very nice.Definately would stay again. The only small downside in a villa that sleeps 10 is the lack of seating in the lounge if everyone wants to sit together. We had to bring in the cane furniture from the conservatory.

What a fantastic place to stay, the accomodation and facilities are absolutely superb with every possible need catered for in terms of furniture and domestic equipment. The villa location is absolutely stunning, being in the grounds of Rosecraddoc Manor which itself has stood for hundreds of years. Particular mention should be made of our hosts, Steve and Julie, who did not just manage the complex but went out of their way to ensure that every visitors stay is both memorable and enjoyable.

Beautiful house in a beautiful setting. We had a large party of 8 adults and 4 children and the house was plenty big enough. There was lots of space for everyone to either get together as a group or to do their own thing individually. The estate is lovely, there is a fantastic walk along the hill that I would recommend to anyone that stays here. It's a great location to explore all of Cornwall. We loved our time here and would recommend it to anyone. The only gripe is that Wi-Fi is not included in the price. Otherwise we were very impressed and happy with our stay.
