Enjoy a peaceful holiday at this cottage, which is surrounded by beautiful countryside and plenty of walking opportunities.

Set in stunning surroundings with uninterrupted views over the surrounding countryside, River Cottage is a charming, self-catering, detached holiday cottage. Idyllically positioned for those seeking a tranquil and rural retreat, surrounded by magnificent scenery, close to the hamlet of Enochdhu in the heart of Perthshire. Once part of the Kindrogan Hunting Estate, the cottage is built on ‘policy ground’ and is renowned for its outstanding countryside, wildlife and dark sky location. There are an abundance of cycle and footpaths from the front door and The Cateran Trail is close by, as is Glenshee, Scotland’s largest ski area. After exploring the area, guests can relax on the terrace with a glass of wine and see deer drinking from the river, an abundance of bird life and red squirrels are frequent visitors, or go fishing for salmon. Kirkmichael is only 3 miles away and has a local shop, restaurants and pubs, Pitlochry is only 10 miles, Blairgowrie 15 miles and Perth 28 miles. Pre-arranged private mountain guiding or skiing instructions can be arranged directly with the owner. Shop 3 miles.

A well equipped and very nicely decorated and furnished cottage. Superb location on the river side seeing red squirrels, deer and various birds on a daily basis. An extremely peaceful and relaxing place to stay with many a walk to enjoy from the cottage. Easy access to surrounding villages and towns - spoilt for choice as to where to explore and walk. Would highly recommend this cottage. The owners, Andy and Liz, are friendly and approachable and made us feel welcome and very much at home. We will definitely stay at River Cottage again.

Loved it, loved it ! So so beautiful ! The perfect place to relax, unwind. To be in nature, so healing and renewing. The drive through the mountains was gorgeous, and to arrive at the cottage with all its comforts , what more could you wish for. We saw many different birds from the balcony and we waited patiently for red squirrels. We were rewarded by 3 all at the same time playing so happily. It was time spent with my Sisters and we enjoyed and appreciated all the decor and lovely Linens and kitchen utensils. Also went to a lovely Inn nearby where we enjoyed fine dining. Also Pitlochry is with a visit, especially the Theatre.
