The holiday cottage was very comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed. The back garden was enclosed and good for the dog! - Great access to the sea front and plenty to do in the area. The only negative is that smoking was allowed in the conservatory and so some of the house did smell of stale smoke.

Third visit to Rest a While. Fabulous location and a very good bungalow with all the facilities you could need. Beds and bedding could do with a refresh. Would definitely recommend.

We thought the location ideal and the local people very friendly, also the beach was right on your doorstep which was great for the kids and dog, lastly the pubs and chippy were of a good standard so yes we would go there again

Second visit, not quite as good as the first. Tried to contact owner twice for key details, eventually given second hand. Brought a load of logs and DVDs for the evenings only to find the log burner and DVD player broken. Wanted a few relaxing lie-ins but had workmen ringing the doorbell early one morning and the neighbours the next. Having said that, still a lovely location right by the beach.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are sorry about the log burner, a recent guest broke this and it is proving very difficult and costly to repair. Regarding the DVD, we recently upgraded the TV to a really up to date flat screen unit that takes an Amazon fire stick.

We had a brilliant holiday! Rest-A-While is clean, cosy and is situated just a 30 second walk from a lovely sandy beach. There is a local store a five minute walk along the sea-front and a brilliant little chip shop in the neighbouring village of Bacton, which caters for people who are gluten-free. The large, private garden was secure and was an enjoyable exploration for our 8-month old puppy. Rest-A-While is situated off the main road in a very quiet area. Some people have complained about the approaching road but I have a small city car and it coped with the road very well so no complaints there. I have already booked up to go back to Rest-A-While next year and I can't wait! Thank you to the owners - see you next year!

This is a well presented and maintained property with a large enclosed garden suitable for a dog. The property has several suitable aids to help the less able. Located close to the sea, there are some steep steps to the beach, and the Norfolk coastal path. The Ostend Gap beach is a real find for dog walkers, and is only about 100 metres away from the bungalow. we visited in February, so if you are newcomers to the Norfolk coast in the Winter be prepared for some cold winds, and the bungalows central heating will soon warm you. There is adequate off road parking. The cautions would be that the private road and coastal pathways are rough in places, and the pubs might struggle to cope in the more popular parts of the year.
