We had a wonderful 4 day break. Cottage was lovely and it was great to use the hot tub in the cold weather. Closest shop was about 4 miles away and take away a bit further. WiFi a bit intermittent, but fine for e-mail/facebook catch up. will definately book again

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Due to the property's rural location, WiFi can be a bit intermittent. We have now put in a new fitted kitchen with a cooker range and a new tiled kitchen floor.

Beautiful location and cottage really cosy. However, the beds and pillows in the family room need replacing. Really uncomfortable and hard to get a decent nights sleep which is what a holiday is for i.e. relaxing and unwinding. This is putting me off re-booking this cottage again to be honest as I ended up being more tired going home than when arriving. Apart from this it's a great place to stay and really enjoyed it.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. We have now replaced all mattresses to memory foam in all rooms.

The cottage was positioned wonderfully for those people with dogs, and people wanting to walk the coastal path, direct access to a small beach and footpath. As it was at the end of a single track road very quiet and peaceful. There is a small shop very close, during summer months, closed in off peak times. The cottage's shower cubicle could do with a thorough clean.

What a beautiful cottage, so close to the sea and cliff top walks. No shops nearby so arrive prepared. The main bed was uncomfortable, the comfort downstairs was very good. Directions were excellent. Lovely and clean. Had a nice welcome present on arrival, I would happily stay there again.

Booked for a week. Stayed 4 nights. Beautiful location, beautiful farmhouse. Nice hot-tub. Let down by uncomfortable mattresses (I ended up in one of the single beds) and non-existent broadband. Unfortunately I knew I would have to work a little whilst on our week away - so deliberately chose a let that advertised broadband. It was non-existent and barely faster than a 56K modem. If you can sleep anywhere and have no need for broadband (or mobile reception) then would recommend but sadly for our stay it was inadequate.

A fabulous little cottage right on the sea front. Perfect for a restful break and great for dog owners. The vendors were very friendly and helpful, they even left us a bottle of wine for our arrival which we thought was extremely kind. Unfortunately, the hot tub was over-chlorinated and turned itself off at one point and the gates weren't quite sized well enough to secure our small dogs, however, we overcame both of these problems with a little research and improvisation. The wifi was unreliable, the best spot is in the conservatory which is a beautiful place to sit overlooking the sea. However, internet access did not overtly bother us, as we wanted a retreat and that's exactly what we got. Unfortunately, the local shop was permanently closed on our stay but we had lots of provisions and only needed milk on the odd occasion, which we bought from a shop about 30 minutes away. On the final night we had dinner at the local pub, which was lovely and very reasonably priced. Overall, we had a really great time here, we would highly recommend it to friends and family, and may well return.
