This is a lovely cottage and I was pleasantly surprised at just how well equipped it was and how clean and tidy it was on our arrival. It’s well located and there is a co op at the top of the road along with a very good fish and chip shop. The road is very narrow and steep, but this wasn’t an issue for us, my one year old managed to walk up and down it no problem, I think we struggled more than he did! We went with my parents, so had two cars. There is only space for one car, but there are a few free places to park nearby. I don’t really have anything negative to say about the cottage, the only thing I would change if I could is the number of sea gulls that decided to have a shin dig outside the front of the cottage every morning at 4am, this did wake my little ones up which was very tiring, but this could happen anywhere near the sea so no reflection on the cottage! I would absolutely stay here again!

Stayed here whilst having an extension built and it was a lovely, cosy haven. Enjoyed walking to Chesil beach, Cove House Inn and Quiddles cafe. We were snowed in for a day and a half which was very unusual. The access road is very narrow and steep - only drawback really.

The cottage had plenty of space but the living areas were quite dark. Although described as dog friendly the garden had no grassy areas for the dog and it was quite a walk to anywhere where she could go!

Very well-equipped, comfortable cottage in a great location, perfect for local walks and as a base for exploring the Jurrasic coast. Portland history books particularly interesting when the weather kept us in. Wish we could have stayed for longer. Three minor points to mention: we could have done with one bright lamp in the lounge on a dark day, and a couple of small side chairs in the bedrooms to put clothes on, also the stairs needed a good vacuuming. These are minor criticisms, overall we loved the place. Thanks!

Wonderful cottage in an area of fantastic views and things to do. Holiday went far to fast as we never covered all the attractions the area had to offer. Would definitely return to both cottage and area again.

We had a wonderful week at Pebbles, well equipped, comfortable, spacious and most of all peaceful. Would definitely return .

Lovely stay in a good location - parking was ok - we have a seven seater so space no issue if driver is competent - however low suspension cars will struggle to get out of the end of the road without grounding due to the very steep slope and sudden flattening onto the main road - cottage itself very nice - sofas a bit too worn and soft to sit on for too long but overall the cottage is well appointed for a comfortable stay. Surrounding area - pubs, good fish and chip shop and convenience stores etc all within walking distance - is great and Weymouth is just a short drive up the road. We loved our time at Pebbles and would definitely return again.

Pebbles is a nice cottage, good position for exploring the Isle of Portland and neighbouring Weymouth. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and we were glad of the parking. The owners were quick to do their best to respond to the issues that we had. The washing machine did not work, but no one was able to rectify this whilst we were staying there: this was disappointing. The shower did not drain away: someone did come to assist, but this was not fully addressed, although it was usable after this. The bins were not emptied as the people staying before us had not placed their refuse in the right places. There seemed to be a lot of small moths, something that our 7 year old didn't like.

Nice, homely cottage but our dog would have loved some grass at or near the cottage
