There is a separate shower room with large shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin on this level, again with under floor heating, then up a couple of stairs to a bathroom with oversize bath, toilet, wash basin, marble floor, large airing cupboard and under floor heating ensuring warm toes in the winter! Loved the place. Well kitted out. Comfy beds. Great to sit in the garden overlooking the harbour, sipping wine in the evening sun. Lower Fishguard is delightful. Pembrokeshire is beautiful. Great walking country. Nothing negative to say but if you are a telly lover you may struggle to get a decent reception.

Lovely location overlooking the harbour, and comfortable, spacious but cosy accommodation. Plenty to do in the area, with lovely walks, beaches and places to visit.

Really nice cottage, in a beautiful location. The only negative point was I do not think the cleaner is good, beds are clean but the cottage was superficially cleaned with the kitchen floor and cooker really dirty. It took us 2 h to clean it.

A lovely clean cottage next to a nice harbour that made for a relaxing break. The parking was the biggest issue, whilst there is space for 2 cars it made it very difficult to get in and out due to the step hill and position of neighbours parked car. The cottage was lovely and big and upstairs was finished nicely, lovely comfy beds. Downstairs felt it lacked a little personality. The owners where very helpful with a couple of slight issues, dealt with very quickly. Outside was nice, however its a shame the trees opposite blocked the view of the harbour a bit, nothing the owners can do but still a shame.

We had great weather and the cottage was fantastic - the dogs had a great time too. However, it would have been great if the garden had a gate to keep it secure.

Response on behalf of the owner: Thank you for your kind comments and I'm glad you had a lovely holiday. We are going to put up a gate at the end of this season, the reason this hasn't been done before is that 2 neighbors have right of way to access their gardens above ours, but we've discussed with them and they are fine with it. Hopefully we'll be able to welcome you again.

No hot water as boiler didn't work. The smell of damp was so obvious and overwhelming. Parking any car larger than a Mini a real problem. We paid for 4 nights in advance and only stayed for 1 night, not much fun without hot water and the overwhelming smell of damp. The garden in desperate need of attention.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; I'm very disappointed you didn't give me the chance to put this right, our plumber lives in Fishguard and is happy to be called out, we give our guests 4 numbers to reach me on and I didn't hear from you. The cleaner always checks the boiler before she leaves, and it was fine then. As soon as we found out about your problem, the plumber went out to check and it just needed topping up, literally a 10 second job that I could have talked you through on the phone. As for the parking, unfortunately the elderly gentleman at the bottom of the hill has taken to parking opposite the house, and his parking isn't as neat as it used to be. I'm not sure about the 'overwhelming smell of damp' as the underfloor heating is on from September to Easter, there are 2 wood-burning stoves downstairs and radiators in all the bedrooms, the most common comment we get is that the beds are extremely comfortable and the cottage is very cosy. I'm sorry you had a spoiled holiday, we take the comfort and quality of our guest’s holiday very seriously, and always do our utmost to resolve any problem, and again I'm sorry we didn't get the chance.
