Disappointed!! This property could be so much better. On arrival we had to clean all glasses / toilets / dishes. Not really what you expect when paying out so much. BBQ in garden falling apart and full of rubbish so couldn't use. Broken tiles in pool cut my daughters toe which really annoyed me..

We enjoyed the pool and cinema and games room but felt the details should mention that the garden has AstroTurf not grass as our dog would not walk on it willingly . Also need a cheese grater and proper oven gloves . Good location .

Fantastic stay at Moorecroft last week. Great facilities for all the family - pool, cinema and games room were all put to great use. Kitchen well equipped. Very relaxing setting a short walk into Buxton.

Well located - easy walk into Buxton. Modern, clean, spacious house with off-street parking and quite a private garden. Indoor swimming pool, play stations and games room (pool, darts, table football) were good features for kids. Have family in the area and would definitely stay again.

I will start with a few niggles and get them out the way. Tried to get the DVD for the cinema to work but failed but this was sorted out the following day very quickly but still couldn't get any other channel but itv4 on the TV. The 2 sofas are looking a little worn and the brown one not very easy to get off, if people suffer with joint problems. If your in the twin room upstairs the only toilets are across to the other side of the house or down the stairs, not easy if needed at night. Now the GOOD points. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need. The pool is great fun. The beds comfy and bedding clean. All 9 of us had a lovely and relaxing time at Moorecroft and we would all come back again.

Would have been perfect except fir the nasty gash I got on my leg from the broken steps in the pool and the beds in the family room were not fixed so moved every time we turned over in bed. Other than that loved it and will still be booking again next year

Recommend this house to celebrate a special occasion. We all enjoyed the swimming pool which was nice and warm. Children also enjoyed play stations, games room and cinema room. Short walk downhill to Buxton town centre with shops, pubs, cafes, park and surrounding countryside.

Best thing was the indoor heated pool. Bedroom/bathroom arrangement difficult, 2 didn't have wardrobes. The cleaning check list wasn't fully adhered to. The freezer didn't work. We were told the heating problem in the games room had been resolved, but even leaving the 2 small radiators on all day did not warm the room due to ill fitting garage door. Not all windows had blinds or curtains - thought this was Tourist Board regulation?

This is our second stay in the property and it is everything they advertise; spacious, well equipped, modern, fun and relaxing. The swimming pool is perfect for the children, especially on cold days, as is the cinema room. There is ample parking and it's only a short walk into town. We did notice that the property is getting a little tired and in need of a 'spruce up' in certain areas where skirting boards are coming off, and bath panels detaching. It also needs a deep clean to get rid of the cobwebs in the high ceilings and marks on the walls. Attention to detail really, to make it worth the money they charge. That said, we will definitely return again soon.
