We had a lovely welcome from Paul and Maggi at Mill Cottage. They were very informative and helpful and the welcome hamper they left for us was a lovely thought. It was a good base for getting out and about. They said that we could use their grounds as we wished and it was an idyllic spot and the gardens were beautiful. Night-time especially was lovely with all the lights on around the grounds. It was magical. All in all we had a lovely holiday and certainly wouldn't mind going back to Mill Cottage one day. Highly recommended. Barbara and Dennis - Lincoln

Our holiday at Mill Cottage surpassed all our expectations. The cottage and its grounds provides a haven for adults to relax in and children to have fun in. The wildlife is stunning ! The owners' generosity, kindness and thoughtfulness was very much appreciated by all of us. The cottage is ideally situated for visiting so many of Yorkshire's attractions but thankfully there is still so much to explore, so it will give us a chance to go back to Mill Cottage again. Perfect !

Would strongly recommend this cottage and would visit again. The cottage was beautiful and the grounds were enchanting. Although there was not much to do around the village we used it as a base to visit the beautiful places around York. Paul and Maggie made us very welcome and were very helpful. We wish them every success for the future.

An exceptional, cosy, well-equipped Cottage with everything you could want. All the fixtures and fittings are of a consistently high standard and well maintained. Paul and Maggi were extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming hosts. We loved the very generous 'Welcoming Basket' with personalised contents to eat and drink! We also enjoyed the use of the excellent outside and enclosed private space attached to the Cottage, and having access to the Owners' large grounds containing the Mill Pond and stylish Shepherd's Hut was a bonus. Excellent experience - the nicest Cottage we have stayed in. We will definitely be back!

What a magical place. The cottage was gorgeous, our hosts couldn't have been more hospitable and the gardens made our stay. Our little boys loved the Shepherd's Hut and the firepit and I enjoyed sitting by the river watching for the kingfisher. A stay here is good for the soul!

We booked this cottage to enjoy some family time over the May half term break. I spoke to the owner Paul over the phone a few days before arriving. He was keen to find out about my family and if we would need anything in particular to accommodate our stay. On arriving at the cottage we were met by the 2 lovely owners Paul & Maggi and given our keys and information about the cottage. We were pleasantly surprised at how homely the cottage was. The interior was clean, modern with a shabby chic twist and plenty of space for a family of 4. The private walled garden attached to the house is a huge plus point. The weather was lovely so the children were outside scooting around the garden a lot and we made use of the barbecue. Paul and Maggi were available to speak to at all times if we had any questions and they have lots of info and advice about the surrounding area and days out. We felt completely at home at Mill Cottage and were sad when our holiday came to an end. Without hesitation we would stay here again to enjoy the wonderful county of Yorkshire and the exceptional hospitality of Paul & Maggi.

The grounds around the cottage were magical & idyllic really relaxing a place to truly unwind & recharge your batteries. Local amenities in the village & next town Easingwold.
