An amazing gem hidden in the Shropshire hills. Finished to a ridiculously high standard and with a wonderfully warm welcome. We're already planning our next visit.

What a brilliant cottage, in a lovely part of the country. This was our second visit and it won’t be the last. Stunning place!

An absolute gem. Well equipped, spotlessly clean and in a beautiful, peaceful location. The only sound we heard were cows. Very helpful owner lives next door, and available if needed, but not at all intrusive. The owners have thought of everything, welcome pack with kitchen and bathroom essentials, choice of pillows for the enormous bed, even boxes to make recycling and getting rid of all waste easy. The track up to the property is easily navigated and there is secure parking. The garden is completely dog proof and there are even dog towels, spare bowls and dog biscuits provided. Cannot fault this property, all in all everything we were looking for and more.

Fabulous self-contained accommodation in a beautiful location with superb views of the Stiperstones and local countryside. Property was immaculate and extremely comfortable with everything you could possibly need for a self-catering holiday. A quiet and peaceful rural idyll out in the middle of nowhere which was exactly what we were hoping for (and got!) when we booked Meadow Barn. Owners (Steve and Rachel) are really nice and helpful and despite the close proximity of their accommodation, you are not overlooked or checked up on during your stay so you feel completely like you are on your own - obviously they are just next door if you do need to speak with them. Fantastic local walking with lots of scenic wow moments and there is a lot of tourism information and details of local circular walks in the property. It is an extremely hilly area; the nearest local pub and quaint little village shop are only 1.5miles away, although be warned there are some steep inclines and declines to access these on foot, most other local amenities do require a trip out in the car. Good access to neighbouring local villages and everyone we met wherever we went in Shropshire was extremely friendly. No mobile phone signal at Meadow Barn but it does have wifi if you do need to keep in contact - for us it was complete bliss to be incommunicado! Great place to take your dogs and go out walking, if you want peace and quiet in an awesome environment, would definitely highly recommend coming here 😊

We've hired holiday cottages for many years, but Meadow Barn is the best we've ever encountered in terms of facilities and one of the best in terms of location. Steve and Rachel Corner have put a great deal of thought and effort - and, no doubt, money - into setting up the cottage in the best interests of their guests, and they've done it with resounding success. It's thanks in no small measure to their commitment that we enjoyed our holiday so much. We recommend this beautiful, atmospheric and relaxing place unreservedly.

The welcome and comfort provided by Rachel and Steve ensured a wonderful holiday break. This was our first stay in Shropshire but certainly not our last.

Our second visit and we will be coming again. Enjoyed our visit. We like being away from it all so lack of local amenities is a plus for us. If Steve ever replaces the sofa please can we have one that wasn't so low? Getting up from it was a bit of a struggle! Lovely and clean and everything thought of. Thank you

This is a beautiful cottage. Extremely well renovated and very tasteful, to an extremely high standard. The nicest one we have ever stayed in over nine years of cottage holidays. It is in a remote-ish location but the views out the window are amazing. This corrage has everything, better than home from home. It even had a slow cooker, hand mixer and a hammock for the G&T's outside. You could have cooked a full roast dinner in this cottage and baked a cake if the desire took you! Very well suited to a dog with towels for muddy paws and a stair gate to stop unwanted furry friends sneaking up onto the bed - sometimes an anxiety when you are staying in smart accommodation. Stay here- you'll love it. Plenty to do in the local area too, lots of great walks and mining history.
