This was our first trip to Shropshire and Meadow Barn alone made the trip worthwhile. Well thought out cottage with a wonderful mix of old and new, and lots of little finishing touches. Beautiful surrounding countryside.

A super cottage set in the lovely Shropshire countryside - within a 40 minute walk of the beautiful Stiperstones (if you stay here, do this walk). The cottage is very well equipped, warm (it was cold when we were there) and spotlessly clean. The owners are helpful and friendly and all in all I would highly recommend this place.

Lovely cottage. Fabulous views of stiperstones. Tricky to manoeuvre a large car off and back onto the lane.

We had a lovely week's stay at Meadow Barn. The barn was been renovated and decorated to a high standard with a great mix of old and new so it still retains in character. Its the perfect location for a chilled holiday with lots of walking in the beautiful countryside. It was the most peaceful place. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and gave us the warmest welcome. Definitely recommend this cottage.

If you like walking then this is a great location. Lots of places to explore. Meadow Barn is the perfect getaway and even welcomes dogs. Only negative is there is no phone signal but when you realise where your staying you dont mind. Would highly recommend this lovely place

We stayed at Meadow Barn for a week in early Nov 2016. It was lovely to return to each evening after a day spent walking or visiting the local towns and villages. The property has been meticulously renovated by the owners and the result is a true home from home. It caters for all creature comforts and is very well equipped, The king size bed is really comfortable, the bathroom is always warm and the shower excellent....... The cozy stove perfectly compliments the underfloor heating. There are beautiful views of the Stiperstones from the rear of the property and the birds feeding at the front of the property (food provided by owners) are great to watch while eating breakfast. We loved this place.

A wonderful small barn conversion looking out towards the Stiperstones. Perfect in every way unless you want to walk to the pub or shops.

Whilst the barn is in lovely breathtaking location the track leading up to the property is extremely narrow which makes actually parking inside the gates to property very difficult sensors on my car went into overdrive this I feel should be mentioned in property details as there is no option but to park on the driveway - whilst appreciate the location is very private in middle of countryside it was a big downside for me That said the property was spotless & very well equipped We had to leave earlier than anticipated purely down to family illness Much as the property itself was lovely sadly wouldn't rebook for reasons of access to it

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are very sorry that you had to leave Meadow Barn a day early and do hope that everything is alright now. We would like to feedback on your comments. Meadow Barn is set in a rural, countryside setting and the South Shropshire Hills are renowned as a get away from it all destination. The Barn sits opposite The Stiperstones Nature Reserve and our views are of the stones and hills, so the Barn is surrounded by countryside, meadows, nature and tranquillity. We hope the write up and photographs help to further demonstrate this. In addition we would like to overview our parking facilities. We always wanted to ensure that two vehicles could easily park at Meadow Barn. The barn is situated just off the bridal way, which is 2.7 meters wide at its narrowest point. The entrance of the barn is 6 meters wide and the gate posts are 3.5 meters apart. We did feel this was more than adequate, however were very sorry that your car didn’t feel the same way. We do appreciate you feedback and very sorry that we didn’t meet your expectations with our location.

Fabulous cottage in a beautiful, quiet location. Owners provided a comprehensive "Welcome Pack" of essentials so there was no need to immediately set off for the shops and they were on hand on our arrival to give us a run through all the equipment, as well as to recommend various places to visit. This is a superb place to "get away from it all" whilst still being within a reasonable drive of a number of great places to visit such as Powis Castle and Gardens, Attingham Park and similar.

Beautiful cottage in a glorious location, with fantastic outlook. A joy to wake up to the views of the Stiperstones and sounds of birdsong. Idyllic.
