We had a lovely week. The barn had been converted to such a high standard - the quality that I'm sure all of us would love to achieve in our own homes if only we had the time, money and determination! Bliss. The visitors book was absolutely full of gushing reviews with many repeat guests. I'd been worried that it might be a bit draughty or on the cool side and took a big chunky cardigan... turns out there was no need, the underfloor hearing kept the place lovely and toasty, and no draughts at all. Really friendly host. Great recycling facilities etc, the place has got a Green certificate (can't remember the exact title). The bed was incredibly comfy, we took a photo of the mattress label for when we next buy a new one! It was great being able to walk out straight from the barn on some glorious hikes. We'll definitely visit again some time and recommend it to our friends!

Absolutely amazing little barn conversion in a very rural location that we loved. Not one car went past the whole time we were there and think their were only 4 houses within walking distance. The barn itself was absolutely immaculate with a modern bespoke bathroom and kitchen with the main room keeping all the rustic barn features & a log fire.

Absolutely outstanding cottage and fantastic owners who made us feel so welcome. We cannot recommend this cottage enough. First class accommodation and equipment, great location and views with many great walks right from the doorstep. Loved our stay and we did not want to leave, would book again.

The owner of this barn has provided much much more than anything we could possibly expect. From high end mini bath toiletries to designer towels and tea towels, shoe cleaning equipment, mini sewing kit, towels and treats for visiting dogs - the list is endless! A superb holiday barn! A delight to relax in after a long days holiday activities.

Had a lovely few days here....just what we needed. Cottage had everything we wanted and the location is special. Just a shame it wasn't cold enough for the wood burner!

A little piece of heaven here on earth. Believe me the photo's do not do this little barn justice. Rachael & Steve have thought of everything to ensure that our stay was so memorable and truly relaxing. The perfect hosts. The barn is equipped with everything and more than you could possibly need, probably better than at home! The amazing view of the Stiperstones calls to you out of the back windows and walking up to them and along was a magical experience allowing you to walk door to door and stopping off at the tea shop for tea and homemade cake. You must try the Nipstone cake. Delicious!! The position of the barn was perfect for visiting the National Trust properties and English Heritage. You must visit Powys Castle. Now, the bed! My only criticism is that my husband would not allow me to stay in longer each morning. Extremely comfortable and the Egyptian cotton sheets were perfect for the hot weather. Evenings a beautiful there on a clear night as the stars as so close you could almost touch them, and can clearly been seen through the windows lighting your nights sleep. Plenty of hot water all day, outstanding laundry facilities and a beautifully maintained barn throughout. We WILL be returning again.

An excellent conversion of an old barn to provide a modern well-equipped hideaway for two. The location was very peaceful and quiet, with birdsong the only sound we heard. The setting was very good, surrounded by green fields and yellow laburnum hedgerows. It's a pity the hedge around the property was a bit too tall to appreciate the view from inside. The immediate surroundings were secure enough to contain our small dog, and she could be exercised along the bridleway next to the cottage. A short car journey gives plenty of options for walking in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We found a very friendly pub, serving decent pub food at very reasonable prices at the Stiperstones Inn. The cottage was within easy reach of the charms of Ludlow, Bishops Castle, Stokesay castle etc.
