We did not really do this property justice as we only used it as somewhere to sleep. I can see that in good weather when you can eat outside and watch the activity on the canal it is marvelous - but not in cold, rainy November. The cottage is clean but there are some nice cobwebs upstairs. The staff were very helpful and solved our little problems quickly and efficiently.

Insulting £40 charge for washing up. Shan't stay there or at any other of their properties again.

A delightful cottage in a lovely spot. Very restful with pretty walks and handy for Oxford (bus stop 10 mins walk). Also Natinal trust properties within reasonable distance.

The quiet location is superb. Sadly, The garden area was cut back and left in a terrible mess. Also, the bistro garden furniture was rusty, though it is now being replaced.

Not the best cottage I have rented. Some compromises due to the fact it was a Dovecot. Location was the main reason to stay here and the bus service into Oxford was easy and free for me. Despite being close to a small airport, a main line train service and a canal the worst noise was from the central heating system. Local countryside, the Ship Inn and the local people outweighed any deficiencies Would I return? No, I have never been back to any of the 40 or so cottages I have rented. If I wanted to visit Oxford museums again, then yes

The cottage was lovely but would have benefitted from the heating being put on some days before our arrival. There were some finer touches I would recommend which I fed back to the owners. It was quite noisy due to location - near a railway line and an airport but we didn't mind that. Good location for pubs and bus stop for Oxford.
