Lavender lea was extremely well fitted out and maintained. There was no feeling of being overlooked as it was quite separate to the rest of the area.

The Lavender Lea cottage is one of the best we ever visitied. It is situated within a Field of Lavender (as the name suggests). The view from the terrace is great and each evening we could see the family of deers wandering in front of the cottage. The cottage itself is equipped with care, very comfortable and we missed nothing. There are several places to eat within 3km distance and all supplies can either be bought at the small shop 2km in direction Southampton or at the big place 5km in direction Salisbury. The owner are very sympathetic and helpful. We tried some of the cakes they sell at the tearoom and liked these a lot.

Had a fantastic relaxing peaceful week. The location is excellent to explore all the charms of the New Forest, the tea room with its freshly baked lavender scones were very nice. We had daily visits from deer, rabbits and a fox. The property could do with wifi in this day and age but thats not a major issue. We usually make a point of never returning to the same place as there's far too much out there to explore, however, we wouldn't hesitate to come back here or recommend to anyone such was the pleasurable time spent here.

The cottage was very nice especially to be greeted by deer in the morning. Not seen so many birds. We like Dartmoor and expected a similar experience but although the New Forest is beautiful it does not have the remoteness of Dartmoor. Not the fault of Lavender Lea. we wish we could always find a place so comfortable and so quiet. We have had a number of disappointments in the past few years but this was not one of them. Very nice accomodation. Laurie and Pauline

An excellent cottage, very well appointed and really comfortable. We enjoyed the views over the lavender farm there and watching all the birds and wildlife whilst either in the lounge or out on the patio. Definitely a cottage we will return to.

The perfect relaxing escape to the country for our 3rd Wedding Anniversary! The lodge itself was spacious, well equipped and presented to a high standard. It commanded beautiful views across the Lavender fields and extended countryside, so peaceful yet not far away from Salisbury, New Forest and other attractions. The hosts were very welcoming upon collecting our keys, and even when the oven wouldn't heat properly, upon reporting it, a new one was ordered and replaced very quickly. They even offered to cook for us until the oven could be replaced - customer service above and beyond expectations. Wifi would be a good addition to the lodge, aside from that we wouldn't hesitate in returning, neither of us couldn't fault the experience. We left feeling completely rejuvenated! Highly recommend Lavender Lea and a visit to the Tearooms is a must too - the Lavender scones and other delicacies are a delight! If you are need of recharging your batteries, then this is the place to do it! Thank you Mike and Melanie, we hope to see you again in Summer!

We were absolutely delighted with everything to do with the cottage. It was modern but cosy, the beds were very comfortable and it was exceptionally well equipped. The staff at the nursery and cafe were welcoming and both venue meant we could be entertained without going more than a few steps. Having said that there was so much within easy reach that a week was not long enough.
