This was the perfect place for a large family gathering. The house was beautiful, comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxed and enjoyable week. Within a few minutes were wonderful beaches, walks and a top-notch pub / restaurant.

Lovely position but dodgy Internet a problem for member of party who needed to work. Biggest problem (the main reason we wouldn't stay there again) was the bathroom facilities. The only shower was difficult to manage, it kept falling off. The other bathroom didn't have a shower so showering 8 adults and 2 children every day took ages. The showroom got very wet and wasn't nice. Therefore we didn't think it was worth the large amount of money it cost to stay there.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are sorry that you were unable to keep the shower room dry - we have not had any other guests report this problem. We have redecorated the shower room since but could find no problem with the shower head. We have now solved the internet issues by having satellite broadband installed. We feel that for 10 persons, a stay at The Last Barn (with heating, linen, towels and cleaning included) is extremely good value for money.

Fabulous place to stay. Pity the WiFi didnt work at this point in time. Otherwise perfect!

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your lovely review - we really appreciate it. We have just been informed that the booster on the WiFi had been accidentally turned off during your stay, hence the poor signal. Many apologies. We are having satellite broadband installed at the start of November 2015 as a permanent solution to the WiFi issues.

Peaceful when the range was not firing. Plenty of space. The steps could be a problem with the elderly and children. Garden area could be improved. Lack of broadband needs to be addressed. TV controller not working properly - should be replaced. Why not have a decent, large, HDTV with freesat?

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments - it is only with feedback such as this that we can continue to improve the Last Barn for our guests. We have ordered a new remote control and the renovation of the front garden, to create a usable space, will be complete in early November 2015.

We (four adults and three children) thoroughly enjoyed our week in Last Barn in late August/early September 2015. The accommodation was very comfortable (without being luxurious), and the facilities were very good. Although the weather wasn't brilliant, that didn't stop us from having a really good time in the beautiful and very attractive area where the cottage was set: great beaches within a short drive; fascinating castles and gardens to explore; and plenty of excellent eating and watering places! Everywhere was wonderfully quiet (even when the sun shone on us), and we would certainly recommend the cottage and its surroundings very highly indeed.

Lovely barn, but needs sound proofing and insulation.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Last Barn was converted in 2004 and insulated / soundproofed to the high standard of the building regulation requirements. We noticed at the end of your week that the radiator in the master bedroom had been turned to the highest setting and left on. In warm weather, this could have made it very uncomfortable for sleeping.
