Beautiful location (off the beaten track, but that's sort of the point...) and actually not difficult to find with sat nav and the excellent directions given by the owners. Setup is slightly unusual (lounge and kitchen upstairs, bedrooms downstairs) but that actually works really well and makes total sense. Boiler is definitely noisy, but that didn't cause us any problems, mostly because there was no need for any heating because clearly the insulation is very good because the cottage was lovely and warm. Great base to go walking, couldn't have asked for better.

Lovely and well equipped cottage, within half an hour of many attractions. The children loved the fact is cul de sac and could be outside without the worry of traffic. We all enjoyed all the walks, especially the dog. We will definitely come again to explore more.

We really enjoyed our break. The cottage was very clean and tidy, with comfortable beds and plenty of towels etc.

Fabulous cottage, ideal for a break and to look around the lake district. We have stayed here on quite a few occasions, and it NEVER disappoints. To say we will return is an understatement................we will.

The cottage is well appointed and we had a comfortable stay. It was warm and plenty of hot water which you want after a beautiful but cold walk in the lakes. Not much close to the cottage, but a short drive and you're in Ambleside. Only small thing is the walls are paper thin so you need to be very friendly with the people in your group :)
