Description

Arts and crafts, ground floor apartment surrounded by countryside and forests, Red Wharf Bay close by, Beaumaris and castle nearby.

Sea views

Built by Sir Harry Verney in the early 20th century, this interesting country house has been cleverly converted into a small cluster of holiday apartments. This impressive ground floor holiday apartment, which sleeps 5 people, is a striking example of arts and crafts architecture. The property is in an AONB, surrounded by countryside, forests and the sandy beach of Red Wharf Bay, only 0.5 miles away. There is a shared patio and barbecue area ideal for dining al-fresco. Ideally located to discover tourist attractions such as medieval Beaumaris with restaurants and 13th century castle. Discover the island’s varied coastline, which is perfect for all water-sports, golf courses, horse riding, leisure centres, Sea Zoo, NT mansions and day trips to Snowdonia and even Dublin. Shop and restaurant 3 miles, pub 1 mile.

All on ground floor: Living room. Kitchen with breakfast area. 3 bedrooms: 1 double with French doors, 1 twin, 1 single. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Loved our time there only negatives....neighbours walking past our windows so close it was uncomfortable and having to put pounds into a meter, so old fashioned. Positives far out weighed this as the cottage was comfortable and the beach amazing for the dogs.

We loved the cottage and would stay again for sure. Fantastic if you like walks and not too far a car tourney to get to places. Outside look of whole building could do with a revamp but that didn't reflect the inside or stay. Lovely place

Had issues with blue bottle flies in kitchen. Over 150 over the 5 days we were there. Bit run down outside but ok inside.

Nice cottage clean and comfortable. To walk to beach is steep hill and no where to park at the bottom, so with elderly relatives was not ideal. For young fit walkers great spot tho.

A pleasant surprise on a last minute booking. Spotlessly clean and everything you would need. Furniture a little tired - the poor red sofa is exhausted! Lovely peaceful spot with some fabulous walking in the nearby Pentraeth Forrest (spot red squirrels) and a nice walk across the sands at low tide to the pub. A relaxing break in a period property.
