Ivy Cottage is great for walkers as it is situated in the village of Chedworth where there are many footpaths to enjoy.

This charming 19th century stone-built cottage with oak beams and inglenook fireplace has been sensitively restored to a very good standard, and is perfectly situated in the heart of the Cotswolds for exploring this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Upon arrival you will receive a welcome pack which includes a complementary bottle of white wine. Set in a pastoral valley, Chedworth is a picturesque village, unspoilt by tourism, with many public footpaths in and around it, and lays claim to being the longest village in England. Nearby is Chedworth Roman Villa, and at just 15 minutes’ drive is the Roman town of Cirencester (Corinium), with its amphitheatre and museum, which has two superb mosaics. The beautiful market towns of Winchcombe, Stow on the Wold, Moreton in Marsh and Chipping Campden are all an easy drive away, and for a day trip, why not visit the Roman spa town of Bath, Cheltenham and its racecourse, Oxford’s dreaming spires, Stroud and its artists, Tetbury with its antique shops and ancient covered market, Malmesbury and its abbey, (the burial site of Athelred, the first king of all England) and Bristol with its historic docks. Seven golf courses and seven riding stables all within 25 minutes. Farm shop 5 minutes by car. Shops 8 miles, 17th century pub and restaurant 100 yards.

A lovely cottage. If I were to suggest one area of improvement it would be to provide more firewood (or at least notify us in advance that you will only provide roughly 15 pieces for four days).

We loved our stay here. It was the perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds. The little village is gorgeous and relaxing. It was good to have a pub just round the corner but the price of the food there was ridiculous (curry night=fixed limited menu=fixed expensive price). We loved Ivy Cottage though and had a brilliant break

A lovely cottage with lovely surroundings. Very cosy with the fireplace and cute kitchen, bathroom is lovely with a lovely large bath. Very clean and tidy with simple but not too plain design. Very quite location perfect for a getaway from the noise!

A very well-equipped cottage in an excellent location, especially for walkers - there are plenty of footpaths in all directions. Two minor criticisms only: the lower kitchen cupboards smelt musty and the lighting wasn't too good (the sitting room lights tend to shine into your eyes and the bedside lights were no use at all - you couldn't possibly read with just them). These are only minor points and we were very comfortable and enjoyed our week.

Beautiful cottage and setting - a steep wooded valley with paths climbing in all directions and linking with longer trails. Pub next door but one being refurbished - if this re-opens then you have everything!

What a fantastic holiday, it was my birthday treat from my partner and it was such a brilliant way to celebrate. The cottage we stayed in (Ivy cottage in chedworth) was beautiful and perfect in every way. The location was perfect for what we wanted and the cottage itself was extremely clean and had every single amenity and facility you could require. Just a shame that you couldn't use the fire as we stayed in January it would have just been perfect for a fire. But never the less the cottage was always warm and very cosy. If your looking for a reasonably priced weekend away in the middle of no where I would highly recommend this particular cottage!!

Well-equipped modern interior, light and airy, but still with lots of character, inglenook fireplace, window seats, lovely garden, beautiful views. Quiet location in perfect rural setting but within easy reach of main roads leading to towns and all places of interest.
Shower temperamental (ran cold whilst under it) and controls stiff to use. We used the bath most of the time. Pub nearby very quiet and often we were the only ones eating there. Buying newspapers, milk etc necessitated quite a long car journey. Nearest shop is farm shop but very expensive and did not always have papers in.
