Customers’ Choice Award 2016, 2017 & 2018
After a busy day exploring the many beautiful towns of Suffolk, return to this tranquil cottage and enjoy the countryside views.

Tucked away in a quiet, rural location, Honeypot Cottage provides an oasis of peace and tranquillity. Surrounded by open countryside and the owners’ farmland, this detached holiday cottage has been renovated to a very good standard, with a delightful, private, south-facing, lawned garden, as well as use of the owners’ grounds. Just 1 mile from the sleepy mid-Suffolk village of Metfield, which has an excellent community shop, it makes an ideal base from which to explore the quaint villages and market towns of Suffolk and Norfolk. The nearby market town of Harleston, 4 miles, has a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants, or try Bungay for boat hire and antique hunting. In the other direction, Diss has an indoor swimming pool, gym, leisure centre, main line train station and golf, as well as some of the oldest buildings in the county. The Norfolk Broads at Beccles are 10 miles, and beaches can be enjoyed at Southwold, Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth. The city of Norwich, 17 miles, is also worth a visit, with its castle museum, galleries and shops. After a day’s sightseeing, return to Honeypot Cottage to enjoy watching the sun set over the fields. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 4 miles.

We only had two nights at Honeypot but thoroughly enjoyed it. The grounds are amazing and the surrounding country lanes were beautiful for an early morning walk. Having en-suites for both bedrooms was a big bonus. My only small criticism would be the seating in the lounge, which could have benefitted from a comfy sofa, but overall I would thoroughly recommend Honeypot Cottage.

A lovely cottage, tucked away in Rookery Farm. We really enjoyed our stay and felt very relaxed. All the rooms have good views of either the fields or the mature gardens. It has a well equipped kitchen and a small patio area, should you want to eat outside, so everything that you need for a great holiday has been provided. Our hosts Beryl and Mike made us feel very welcome and the fruitcake, which Beryl baked was delicious. We would definitely recommend Honeypot Cottage to anyone and hope that we have the opportunity to return again soon.

The cottage was excellent and the gardens are outstanding. The joining instructions would be improved if distances were included so that one could know when to expect a signpost or turning.

Lynda and I have stayed at 100s of holiday cottages over the years and never have we given a report of 100% satisfaction. Honeypot Cottage had everything we needed and more. It is the most perfect cottage and location that anyone, regardless of age, could wish for. We have already started recommending it to our friends on our return, and yes, we will be back.
