Derek and Shiela were wonderful and attentive hosts. Whilst we didn't check out the local amenities there was a local shop. The cottage was cosy and charming and the BBQ lodge is fantastic, I would recommend any guest to book the lodge during their stay. The local tourist attractions were all within a decent travel distance. It's a great venue and one we look forward to returning to in the near future

What a beautifully situated cottage! Stunning panoramic views overlooking the beautiful Somerset countryside. Our hosts were extremely helpful and lovely people who made my husband and I feel so welcome. We wanted a quiet, relaxing holiday and Hideaway provided just that. I particularly enjoyed watching the birds in the very pretty garden while having breakfast. I would definitely go there again.

Lovely cottage with stunning views over the owners garden and the countryside beyond. The cottage was clean and very comfortable but could do with some updating ie windows in bedrooms. Bathroom is adequate but the shower attachment over the bath is only suitable for washing hair as you cannot stand in bath due to slope of ceiling. Wi-fi is vertually non existant. However even considering these small points the cottage is a lovely place to spend a quiet relaxing time. The owners were very friendly and welcoming

Hideaway is a lovely cottage with wonderful views. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped (though we would have liked plumper pillows). Unfortunately the internet reception was dire. The only place it worked was in the bay window of the living room and then the sun shone on my laptop screen so I couldn't see it properly. The owners live in the adjoining house and are lovely. The cottage is in the middle of nowhere and is accessed by incredibly narrow, winding lanes, often with high hedges. The garden is shared with the owners and was very pretty when we stayed there in May. There's lots of bird life, too.

Great and quiet place to relax and plenty of areas for dog walks. Stunning views. Cottage could do with a quick update and its own wi fi signal as this was very poor. Would definitely stop there again. Hosts were very lovely and accommodating.

It was cold when we arrived even though we called to say we would arrive after 10pm. The owners controlled the heating and switched it on and off and it was overall cold. The settee was old and not comfortable. The owners were friendly but I wouldn't go back. It was just ok.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; The family arrived late and rang saying they were lost. My husband drove out in the fog to try to meet them but they managed to find us coming from a different direction to those given. The heating was on when they arrived and it stayed on. The settees are almost new and very comfortable. We have had no complaints from any of our other many guests.
