If you want peace, quiet, and easy access to the peak district, this is the place for you. Spent a lovely week here. The owners are friendly, and helpful if you need them. Great value for money, and well away from shops, pubs, people and noise. The town of Leek is close by, should you need supplies for a cosy night in. The cooking facilities are more than adequate for a weeks stay. Dovedale is close by, and the picturesque town of Castleton just 45 minutes of leisurely scenic driving away, providing caves and more fantastic walks. Would definitely stay here again.

The stable is great if you want a quiet weekend, however, if the barn which is next door is occupied with children it might not be that quiet. Could not get internet or phone which wasnt really a problem. The Stable itself has everything you want or would need even down to books but you might want to bring some DVDs. Plenty of space for children to run around and BBQ at the rear. The owner was pleasant and helpful and gave good directions to the farm area. I would happily go back
