Set in the heart of Alnmouth this perfectly located holiday cottage is cosy and welcoming. Only two minutes from the beach, golf course and eating places. Explore the heritage coastline with coastal walks starting in the village. Stabling is available in the village and fishing close by. Alnwick with its majestic castle and one of the biggest water gardens in Europe, 7 miles. Amble harbour and marina 5 miles, Bamburgh Castle, Dunstanburgh Castle and Seahouses a short drive. Boat trips to the Farne Islands, or visit Holy Island when the tide is out by driving over the causeway. Shops and pubs 25 yards.

First Floor: 1 double bedroom. Bathroom with shower over Jacuzzi bath, shower attachment and toilet.

    Parking for cottage horrendous,It needs allocated parking. Kitchen too small and dated. Bathroom needs a decent shower.

    Response on behalf of the Owner; Thanks for coming to stay again. Just to let you know, we have already arranged for full kitchen replacement and refurbishment in October 2017. Sorry we haven't had chance to do this before this summer. We agree it is now due for replacement. We have invested in improving the cottage each year for the comfort of our wonderful guests.

    We have stayed here on a number of occasions and the location ,in the heart of the village is perfect however it is beginning to look a little tired particularly the kitchen and bathroom . Time for a bit of updating maybe ?

    We had a great time with our 5 month old dog, Alnmouth is so dog friendly and the cottage is ace, not palatial but totally what you need. So many great places to eat, drink and then there's the walks. Beaches galore, castles on every hill top and more tea drinking holes than in Manchester. Really lovely people who are willing to share the little bit of paradise with you. Can't wait to go back.

    Holiday cottage was nicely furnished and clean. I found the kitchen very small and it was not easy to cook a meal. Parking near the cottage was not always possible.

    Third time I've stayed at Grosvenor Cottage . I love that it's in the centre of the village , two minutes walk from the sea . It's quiet at night , it's got everything I need for a cosy , comfy stay , the fire is particularly welcome if it's a bit nippy --- there's nothing I don't like . Would definitely stay there again .

    Sadly this cottage is let down through the cooker not working properly. This was an issue previous guests had mentioned in the guest book. We had intended to put some meat in the oven to slow cook while we went for a short walk. Before we left the house we could smell burning and discovered the meat was burnt black and was smoking. This was caused by the grill coming on full power rather than the oven heating. My concern would be that it would almost certainly have caught fire if we had not checked before we went out.

    Loved Grosvenor Cottage! We enjoyed a very chilled 3 nights there, beach walks, drinks in the Red Lion and back to the warm fire of the cottage...perfect! The cottage is beautiful and very well equipped. Perfect location too The only small thing that lets the cottage down is the shower, but that's me being picky We'll definitely be returning 😀
