The cottage is truly beautiful and its location is just stunning. As mentioned by others already, the road is not the best as it has a lot of potholes and you might want to think about with what kind of car to drive to Skye. Other than that everything was as shown on the pictures and the kitchen and bathroom were equipped with a couple of things that I think previous people forgot or left. The location is great as it is very simple to get to other places on Skye and as it's not just next to the bridge to Skye on the way to the cottage you can already enjoy the beautiful landscape. Even for a short break it has a good money for value ratio, though I'd definitely like to stay longer next time to make the most of it. All in all an amazing place for a holiday and to fully relax!

Guests need to be told that the driveway can be perilous for cars. We had to buy additional pans etc to make meals eg a caserole dish. Guests need telling that the TV signal doesn't work.

We stayed a week here for a great week in September. The situation of the house is wonderful, almost on it's own little island which is fun to explore. Look out for the wildlife as we saw Kestrels, Seals and Hen Harriers on Roag Island and it looks a prime spot for Otters though luck was not with us on that front. There is a spectacular view of the Cuillins from the living room /garden and it is a big house which easily has the space for 6 comfortably. The house is needing a fair bit of work which was the reason for the lower scoring in some categories. It doesn't look as good as the website pictures but the new owner has the required work all scheduled in for the start of next year so it should be all sorted out from April 2016.

Situated on a peninsula, to Roag a few kilometers away from Dunvegan, this house restored tastefully benefits from an exceptional view and a total quiet . Very bright stay, charm and comfort.. Beautiful volumes. A room with King size bed in the first floor (bedding of excellent quality) and 2 rooms on The second floor. Ample storage place. Possibility to park the car into the garden. We had received no indication on the situation of the house and had some difficulties to find it because it is not by the roadside. The path is not tarred on the last 600 meters. We would have appreciated to have an area map.
