The house is quirky and charming, quiet and off the beaten track. If you are into star-gazing, on a clear night the light pollution is very low and the Milky Way is bright above you. However, due to its age the staircase and floors both upstairs and down are markedly uneven, so be aware if you are visiting with someone elderly or otherwise infirm.

Didn't know that when I booked this I was expected to live in Indiana Jones and the raiders of the lost ark film set. Spiders webs, spiders both dead and alive, on all of the fittings and in the bed. More cups and plates than ever need and those not in cupboards were covered in dust. So were those in cupboards. Bread left out with mould by the bread bin. And cake in cling film left with cups as a welcome covered in dust. I paid a lot for this and was not expecting to have to clean a house that could of been on " How clean is your house" Disappointed does not even get close to how I feel. I have left this for three before leaving this review. Also I am only allowed one photo to upload for some reason I have more.

Response on behalf of the owner. Thank you for your feedback. I am disappointed the cottage did not meet your expectations. Most of my Reevoos are high, this is a very old traditional country cottage with wooden beams & a lot of stonework and so sometimes spiders do come in. The cleaning issues have been addressed however, if these had been brought to my attention they could have been resolved very easily.

Lovely cosy cottage to get away from it all. Hosts were brilliant, went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
