Forget me not was ok, the owner was very nice and welcoming touches e.g. cake appreciated, and the small patio at the front and sunroom could be pleasant in summer. But it needed a more/thorough clean. There were several flies when we arrived; in a rural setting some may be inevitable but a can of fly spray suggested that they were often a problem. Quite a few cobwebs had not appeared overnight e.g where windows did not seem to have been opened for a while, and crumbs under chairs suggested carpets needed a good vacuum; kitchen scissors were dirty. Some more cookware would have been useful too. The accommodation itself was quite pleasant and reasonably private and some helpful local information provided, but the dubious cleanliness in places spoilt it for us. Also despite the rural setting the garden sloping up from the house and high hedges surrounding mean unfortunately no view when sitting outside (only possible in certain parts of the garden due to uneven ground), only hilltops visible when standing. A few brambles needed pruning near the front door and parking space too. Traffic could only be heard from the B-road when outside, but the narrow lane/drive it is on is quite a sharp turn off the B4372 with poor visibility when exiting, not ideal.
