We would stay again if the electrics were upgraded ie TV, bedside reading lights, fridge, CD player etc. An additional front door key is essential. Area great , village perfect.

Gorgeous cottage in lovely setting. Local pub and little shop both fabulous. Cottage generally a bit tired inside. Dirty crockery, stained bedsheets, towels cost extra and the cottage was already pricey, cobwebs, lamp and tv didn't work. Shame.

Lovely cottage and garden needing just a little TLC but ideal for dogs. Would stay again but probably in the Blacksmith cottage, better position to use garden.

Comfortable, well equipped cottage in a lovely location. Local pub, The Red Lion, very friendly with good food and dog friendly! We visited in January when the weather was cold and the cottage was chilly, particularly in the kitchen and bathroom but this did not spoil our visit. Cottage was very clean, welcome tea and biscuits on arrival was a nice touch, had a really lovely break and would visit again.

This is a basic cottage with absolutely no frills. Two up two down suitable for two adults or possibly small family if children old enough to navigate the steep stairs. Not four adults. Requires serious updating to warrant the price paid at new year or high season. Additional cost for towels, dog and wifi incurred. (wifi very poor)Was barely warm enough when the temperatures were close to zero. The open fire is nice but bring your own wood/coal, firelighters, matches etc! This may have been acceptable 20 yrs ago but standards have improved dramatically in this sector of the holiday market.

Great location: fantastic short walk to the local pub, where food and service received was excellent. Great local coffee house. Cottage has good basic amenities. Need instructions on use for fire to be left for renters to view and use. Along with where to be able to buy wood/fuel to burn? Better heating needed in twin bedroom, as beds were damp. Advise renters as to which gardens can be used? Fantastic cottage for birding and walking. Excellent owner, very knowledgeable and friendly. Looking forward to staying again.

Nice cottage but stairs were to steep. Also WiFi very weak.Could do with a bigger tv. Found the car parking scary being direct onto the main road on a bend.

Dirty i'm afraid, cobwebs, spiders and lots of flies. The furniture is old and needs updating. The stairs are very steep and unsuitable for anyone who may struggle with normal staircases, this includes dogs too. Stiffkey is a nice village with just a pub and little shop within walking distance. There are some lovely villages nearby with better amenities. Sorry!

Loved Norfolk.....!!! Beautiful beaches...!! Forge Cottage is quaint.. homely...saw deer in the gardens most mornings... The stairs in the property could be an issue for the less able due to the steepness of them. Maybe a (Name) signage on the side of the building from roadside would also be an idea... not so easy to find/notice. Stiffkey is a lovely village central to some of the nicest beaches...!!

Cottage would be great for young couple who wouldn't mind basic equipment and location next to a busy lane. Not suitable for very young children due to the very steep stairs, antiquated and faulty stairgate, shared garden with lots of steps and uneven places, parking out front was cramped, we were unable to get the pushchair into the garden as result, and it would have been difficult to get it in the house anyway. Broadband signal was poor as the router is in the cottage next door. That said Stiffkey is a lovely village and there is lots to see and do in the area, and we will definitely visit the area again.
