lovely, cosy cottage, v easy to get to the marshes by foot, and to nearby Cley etc by car. really enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was well equipped but quite cold during the evening and exceptionally cold in the bathroom. Maybe a good idea to board the fireplace in the kitchen as it was quite cold in there and I think a lot of the draft came from the open fireplace.

Everything we needed was in the cottage; great location in village (fab shop and pub nearby too)

This was an excellent cottage in a peaceful location. There were plenty of dog walks and we discovered the unused airfield nearby! It would be helpful to have a house sign displayed in the parking place - we arrived in the dark and it took us a while to find! Also took us a while to work out the television but then we saw papers tucked away! The cottage is all too conveniently near The Red Lion - excellent cooking! And we really liked the cute shop across the road. All in all we would consider staying again.

We loved this little cottage. Ideal for 2 but would be a squeeze for 4 adults, even 3. Bathroom tired but clean and general equipment good. Fantastic escape. Great open fire and superb walking on doorstep.

I was told that the garden was enclosed but on the Thursday morning my dog which is a large retriever got out of the garden and ran up the main road to greet the neighbours dog and was very lucky not to be run over.

Fell below the standard of other properties we have stayed at. Pet hairs found on the bed and on lounge chairs, freezer compartment on fridge iced up and unusable, used tissues behind bed. No wardrobe in one of the bedrooms. Lounge furniture was fraying in places and looked well worn.

Forge cottage is a lovely place to stay on the Norfolk coast & the location is ideal. We would certainly consider staying again. The only issue I would say needs sorting is the kettle is very old & the button hardly works on it & the light switch in the front room is intermittent so can be frustrating trying to get it on. There was a baby gate up for us to use which was great but was upstairs so if one could be put downstairs as well that would certainly help but apart from that it was brilliant. The shared garden is absolutely lovely to have as well & it's huge! I would recommend this cottage to a friend.

The cottage was ok for a weekend but was a bit disappointing. We didn't realise that we had to pay extra for towels, so we had to go out and buy some in Wells. The stair carpet was stained and looked dirty, my bed which was one of the single beds was old and sagged to the middle. My party also felt that it would be nice to have a normal size TV instead of the small one. It was at the cheaper end of the price range but it did look quite drab and tired. Quite a bit of improvement could be made.

The cottage is fine for short stays there are three problem. 1) beds new mattress's are needed you can feel the springs through the sheets . 2)pillows have seen better days. 3)guests should be informed about the parking very dangerous if there is no one to guide you out on a blind bend with traffic both ways.
