Delightful cottage, with everything one could need (and more!), in a pretty, peaceful, easy to find, location within easy reach of local villages, towns, tourist attractions and breathtaking scenery. We were enchanted with the "little touches" in the cottage, which made it a home from home, and the "welcome" pack of bread, milk and eggs, plus the flowers, was a charming gesture from our friendly and helpful hosts. Thank you Jill (and David) - we look forward to staying in your lovely cottage again some time - we will certainly heartily recommend you to any friends or family who want to visit your beautiful part of our country. xx

The cottage is very well located and the owner has made an excellent job in providing everything you could possible want from a short stay. From the detail in including touristic guides, through to a description of the supermarkets/facilities around the property to the inclusion of milk, eggs and bread on the fridge finishing with dish soap and a well equipped kitchen this cottage is perfect for you to properly enjoy the weekend instead of having to worry about forgetting to buy something. We will definitely be back

Stayed for four nights, the cottage was warm and comfortable. The only fault we found was that there didn't appear to be a handle for the grill pan (used an oven glove). Some nice walks from the cottage door.

We were very unfortunate because we picked a weekend that was completely obliterated by the weather. However you cannot fault the cottage itself. The fire was on when we arrived, the kitchen had a welcome selection of staples that supplemented our own purchases perfectly. It should be noted the second bedroom can't contain anything else other than the bed. So if you think you can place the cot in there then you will be disappointed. However the cottage is very well set up if you have a little one (our little lad is 16 months old) . We took advantage of the toys and books that are kept out of the way in the airing cupboard which helped a great deal when you consider the weather meant we had to stay in more than we planned.

An immaculate cottage that was well equipped and met all our needs. A lovely warm welcome when we arrived, the heating was on and the fire lit. Welcome pack of milk, bread and eggs and a bottle of wine much appreciated. So many other little extras provided that we've never found in other cottages. Lovely hot water on tap. Good shower. Really comfortable bed with crisp, clean bedding. Just can't fault this cottage, it's probably the best one we've ever stayed in. A really cosy home from home. Would definitely go back if in that area again. Fantastic walks from the door and loads to see and do in the area.

We were at the cottage for one week during which we found plenty to do without having to travel very far. The cottage it'self was very comfortable, peaceful, and probably the cleanest one we have ever stayed in over the past twenty years. The photographs of the interior do not do it justice. Unfortunately the local store has closed down. We did all our food shopping in Buxton (about 15min. drive) where there were several well known super markets. We would certainly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.

We had a lovely holiday at Forest View. It's the cleanest holiday home we've been to! There is so much to do in the Peaks, we barely scratched the surface. There is not much in Peak Forest but it's a great location for a base- we didn't have to travel far to find somewhere to explore. We would definitely stay at Forest View again.
