Just 20 minutes from Windermere, these holiday properties are set in lovely countryside and ten acres of landscaped grounds, facing south, with wonderful long distance views to the sea, and to the hills beyond. This large country house set on a wooded knoll has been skilfully converted into six spacious holiday houses, which are owned by the Caravan Club Ltd and situated on the edge of one of their immaculately kept small touring caravan parks. The house consists of a two storey cottage wing (W42981), a first floor apartment (W42982), a ground floor garden apartment (W42983), two ground floor apartments (W42984 and W42986) and a first floor balcony apartment (W42985). There’s a lot to see and do in the immediate area. Close by is beautiful Cartmel Priory and the stately homes at Holker Hall, Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall. 3 miles west along the coast is the refined small seaside town of Grange-over-Sands with lots of shops, golf and fishing. The properties make an excellent touring base for the whole of the southern Lake District. Shop 3 miles, pub with food 400 yards.

    comfortable if a little tired the flat has everything you need in a beautiful setting. The site wardens were very helpful.

    A lovely location and very peaceful. It had a great garden which was great for our Labrador. Given that this was a owned by the caravan club we were surprised how dated it was. The paint was flaking off the ceilings and the shower had mould around the bottom. There were cobwebs on the ceiling - felt as if no one looked up when doing the cleaning.The kitchen was dated and giving you only 4 off each crockery item is a bit dated and makes you feel untrusted. A few basic cleaning items would be nice. We have stayed in many cottages and this was probably the least well equipped we have ever stayed in. It just needs modernising and a lick of paint. We loved the location and would book again but probably not in those cottages

    A great cottage but as i'm disabled i found it very dificult to walk to the local bar.

    Lovely property in a lovely, peaceful setting. Just what you need to recharge you're battery. Did go home early though (three days earlier) this was only because we only wanted 4 days and this property no longer does short winter breaks as it used to do. Saying that, it didn't matter anyway as there was a good discount applied for the week we wanted.
