Welsh Country Cottages

From a touch of luxury to characterful heritage, experience one of our truly inspiring holiday properties.

Situated in 23 acres of landscaped grounds, this beautiful conversion offers a fantastic holiday base for friends or family.

These two holiday properties, The Mill ref OM3 and The Stable ref OM4, are on the same site as the beautiful conversions of traditional Welsh long barns Tan Y Dderwen (Under The Oak, ref OZV), Beudy Bach (Little Cowshed, ref OZW) and Gwel-Y-Llyn (Lake View, ref OZX). The Mill is a converted mill, furnished and equipped to an exceptional standard, keeping its traditional style with a touch of class. It offers an ideal holiday base for friends and family. The Stable is a beautiful stable conversion situated in a 23-acre private estate which boasts magnificent views of the countryside and private lakes. Located in a tranquil setting surrounded by rolling countryside, these wonderful family properties boast character and all the comforts for the perfect countryside holiday. Close to the borders of both mid and south Wales, the properties provide perfect accommodation ideally placed for exploring the dramatic Ceredigion coastline where bottlenose dolphins are often seen.
The picturesque fishing town of Aberaeron is only six miles away with its large harbour encased by pastel-shaded Georgian houses. A short drive inland leads to the rural and traditional towns of Lampeter and Tregaron, where the Welsh language is mostly used by the locals. Tregaron feels almost untouched by the 21st century and is a bastion of the Welsh language and culture. The river running through the town centre leads to Cors Caron, a national nature reserve of peat bog which is one of the most impressive wildlife areas in Wales; home to rare marsh grasses, black adders, buzzards and even the occasional red kite. A perfect opportunity to discover the real Wales. Shops 3 miles, pub in village.

Had a lovely week with our family. The Stable was very comfortable with plenty of space and seating for everyone. The bedrooms were very comfortable and clean. Heather (the owner) was very welcoming and helpful.

This cottage is amazingly spacious, perfect for a few families to share. The travel cots, stair gates and high chairs provided were very handy. The house is very tastefully funished and practical for little children. Some of the kitchen utensils were a bit poor quality if you're doing a lot of cooking. But overall we all thought it was a fantastic house and would like to return.

We were blessed with good weather which helped with our enjoyment of the cottage and the nearby costal resorts and countryside. An excellent family holiday.

The Stable looked stunning and was clean and spacious. The kitchen looked amazing but lacked some basic essentials I've come to expect from holiday rentals. The bedrooms were lovely but unfortunately the beds were not. Uncomfortably firm. We arrived home quite tired after our holiday! The land around the cottage was beautiful and really well kept. It was great to have the tennis courts and play area. The location of the cottage was ideal for accessing west Wales.

We stayed at The Stable for a 70th Birthday holiday and the cottage was superb. All the rooms are off a great size with the double rooms having ensuite bathrooms which was excellent. The quality and attention to detail throughout the cottage was to a very high standard, and we felt was excellent value for money. The grounds were also excellent, there was plenty of space for children and dogs to run about, with a tennis court and children's play equipment available. There are a few ponds around the site but they were fenced off and fairly safe for children. The nearest town Aberaeron was only a 10minute drive and has many restaurants to choose from, The Cellar is a must visit. All in all we had a fabulous relaxing break away and we all enjoyed staying at The Stable. We couldn't have asked for more.

We had an amazing time beautiful, clean and spacious accomodation. The only thing I'd like to mention is that they need a lot more plates and culinary items. The location is only 5 miles from Newquay and Aberaron both beautiful places. Ideal place to celebrate my dads birthday with all the family xx would def go back loved it!!! Thank you to the owners really friendly genuine People

Wonderful cottage in beautiful surroundings. We stayed with 3 generations aged 2-80 and we all had a great time. Lots to do in the area. Only downside is lack of shop close by.
