As stated to the owners in visitor book the dehumidifier didnt work which was highlighted before we arrived & not fixed, therefore damp & musty. My 2 yr old had to sleep with us as bunk bed room was very cold as other people had commented. The communal pool was not heated as stated on website & jacuzzi didnt work. We left a day early due to musty smell in bedroom due to damp. Poor cleaning to bathroom as dried faeces under neath toilet seat, mould & mildew on shower and windows & nail brush left well used by what or who we will never know! Stated on website pet friendly yet arriving in cabin notice said pets couldnt be left unattended limitting our hiday experience. Very disappointed for the money we paid. Wouldnt recommend and wouldnt stay again. Also disgruntled despite highlighting this noone has contacted us before writing this review. I wouldnt reccomend this for families with pets or children under 5 years.

A wonderful location and although a very busy area of the Lake District a very quiet and well organised site. We don't expect 5*+ accommodation as we are on a tight budget, but the lodge was warm and comfortable for our needs and everything in it worked properly (including good Freeview reception for the Lakes) and a nice small pool right next door for site residents use. Arrangements were simple to follow and we had a very enjoyable stay.

Lovely stay. Felt private, wasn't over looked even though cabins all around us. Great location. Great bird watching from the living room. Also Sat on the bench in the garden and they feed from the feeder litterally next to me. Loved the talbot pub, food was very good. So much to do around the area. Riverside walk was lovely just down the road. Will definately visit again. Only thing I would say was maybe update furnishes or something to bring it abit more upto date looking. Feels abit dated. Not saying it's really bad or anything. But would look better. Also lovely wooden table hidden under the brown rubber mat. Too nice to cover it over really. Would look better without. Thanks for a great holiday

Was a lovely holiday with great walks straight from the door, so parked the car up & walked. We have stayed at Neom Craggs before so knew all the good walks. Our dog loved all the walk & the pub The Talbot round the corner even did Doggy meals. Elterwater Cabin itself was well equipped & comfortable there was plenty of wild life straight from the door. We will be returning

the steps into the cabin are in need of improvement apart from that the place is great we had the use of the pool to our selves and had a wonderful time. I would recommend this cabin. You have to be ready for simple quiet time

The lodge was clean, well equipped and ideally located on the site, the only criticism is that I found the kitchen surface space a little small to work in but I managed.

We had a lovely time tucked away in the woods. Found it easily and was only a short drive from the nearest town. The heated pool could have been a bit warmer but other than that everything was great.

Elterwater lodge was everything we were looking for Unfortunately we had to cut short our break after just one night as our daughter came down with glandular fever and was really poorly and had to be admitted to hospital Can't wait to return to do the things we had planned

We were very happy with our stay. Great Location. Great walk from Elterwater over the hill to Grasmere and Cycled in Grizedale forest. Supermarket shopping in Ambleside limited but Booths in Windermere is only 4 miles further and that is more than adequate. Our Kids aged 12 and 10 enjoyed the small swimming pool and table tennis at the leisure centre which is right next door to the accommodation. A great stay especially as the Easter weather was kind to us
