We loved this cute little cottage - the little welcome touches were well thought out and gratefully received. It was so lovely to be able to have a cup of tea and a biscuit on arrival and to have so many leaflets to plan with whilst the children played games and drew pictures - thank you so much. It was also lovely to have M&S and Waitrose products in the cottage and made us feel wonderfully spoilt and welcomed. The setting is perfectly unspoilt and quiet and perfectly situated to explore the North and South coasts. A superb cottage we will definitely revisit with lovely hosts too x great holiday x

Dove cottage is in beautiful surroundings and made for a lovely family holiday. The owners are lovely and they provide everything you need, a true home away from home. Ideal for a small family, the cottage has every bit or crockery and cooking utensil you need. The small touches of plastic plates for children to the tea and coffee was wonderful. If you have a small a baby there is even a microwave steriliser - saves you packing one. We were lucky to be there during this week's heatwave, the cottage does get hot but we asked for a fan which was provided. You are no more than 40 minutes from Looe and Newquay, we ventured out to Padstow and Eden Project. There is so much to do in Cornwall, the owners have provided guides and leaflets including discount vouchers so look though those to plan your holiday. Beautiful location and we would happily stay again!

We loved dove cottage, so well equipped. Lovely location, so quiet. They really put a lot of effort into making it like a proper home. Definitely one of the best cottages we've stayed in.

We visited the 'The Dove Cottage' over the Easter holiday, and it was a lovely escape. The cottage is nicely and homely decorated, has all the facilities one needs for a 'home to home' break. The hosts added some lovely little touches such as fresh flowers, biscuits, tea, coffee, crisps and milk, also board games and DVD's, very handy for a rainy day although we were very fortunate with the weather.

We had a fantastic few days staying at Dove Cottage. We arrived late because of traffic but the owners had put the heating and lights on and had the fire going so we walked into a beautifully cosy and welcoming cottage. The milk, tea and treats were a real welcome bonus after a long journey with young children. The cottage is perfect for families with young children, toys, cutlery for children and a washing machine and tumble dryer all great additions. We can't thank David and Jane enough for our wonderfully enjoyable stay, we hope to be back very soon.

This is a lovely cottage and Jane and David are excellent hosts. It is comfortable, everything we needed was there, it has lots of thoughtful touches for those with children. It is absolutely spotlessly clean. Fresh flowers were a nice touch, as was milk, coffee, tea etc there on arrival. As a base for exploring eastern and central Cornwall it is probably as good as you will find. Even the far west is accessible albeit with a lengthy-ish drive. If you want rural seclusion this is ideal, whilst within easy striking range of many popular attractions (Heligan, Eden Project, NT properties). We would stay here again without hesitation.

Lovely cottage, smelt a bit musty but it's an old stone building I suppose, and you get use to it,overall very nice, real bonus the owners put washing up liquid and other bits already there for you.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. We are glad overall you enjoyed your stay. I cannot understand your comment about the musty smell as its not a problem any of our other guests have encountered.
