The cottage is located in a fabulous location with beautiful walks from the doorstep. We particularly enjoyed the walk to grassington along the river - you may need to ask a local to point you in the right direction. A friendly pub in the village next to what appreared to be the shop but which we didn't see open during the four days we were there. Definitely worth a trip to Malham, grassington and brimham rocks is a must for children. Opposite is the old school tea room which offers excellent service and delicious, plentiful food at reasonable prices. Cottage kitchen was well equipped , beds comfortable , showers forceful and plenty of space all round. I would echo others comments that it was looking tired in places but functional and perfect for a holiday base. A minor point if you're taking pets - the garden/ driveway isn't fully enclosed in that small or determined dogs would get under the gate. No wifi which was a downside but rectified by the children using my hotspot / buying more data.

I really enjoyed our stay. There are a few areas that would have made a difference, the fridge was not big enough for 8 people, the main problem being thst there were no door shelves so nowhere to put open Milk, juice, wine etc. The dishwasher is tiny for 8 people. The kitchen is big enough for 2 fridges and a full sized dw. Small things to fix?

Great location and easily accommodated our group of 10. Our only criticism was that the cottage needed a good clean and a lick of paint. However this did not detract us from all having a fantastic time celebrating my Mum's 70th birthday.

All kitchen appliances need updating and a bigger fridge and dishwasher would be advantageous. Generally the cottage is tired and of need of an update but location wise we couldn't find anywhere better. A few lovely walks from the doorstep and the area is fantastic!
