The cottage is full of character and simply beautiful. Ideally situated for my visit and for anyone who is looking to visit Liverpool and the surrounding areas. Hale is a great little village. We spent the weekend there with our daughter and two dogs who all loved it. Was great for us as I was able to complete a belated Christmas catchup with my family. Everything was tidy, clean and all you needed was present.

Really lovely comfy cosy cottage in a village full of history. Great use of space. Everything available in the kitchen for a self catering break. There is however, a lovely local pub providing good food at reasonable prices along with good cask ales. Half hourly bus service into Liverpool city which runs until 22.00 which is excellent. If you want fast Wi-Fi this isn't the place for you but everything else first class.

Had a lovely week in Hale. The cottage was beautiful and we were made to feel very welcome. Julie and Simon were very nice and very helpful. Our dog Trixie was grateful for the biscuits they left for her and my friend and I enjoyed the chocolate. The cottage was decorated with a lovely Christmas tree and decorations and it felt like home from home. Would definitely come again. Some great walking areas for the dog , and a nice park very close by.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property, so we obviously like it. The owners are very welcoming, helpful and generous. It is a great location for visiting Liverpool and many other places. It is on the flight path into John Lennon airport and we find the planes an added attraction. There are none during the night, so it does not cause a problem. Good pub nearby and a great park for doggy-walking.
