This is a gem of a cottage with a beautiful garden, a piece of local history, set in a peaceful & friendly village, lots of countryside for walks, local shops & places to eat out, great food. Fantastic hosts too. We used it as a base to visit Liverpool without staying in the city & it was perfect with a direct bus service. It's well located for visiting the wider area, there's so much to see, another trip beckons!

The cottage is full of character and simply beautiful. Ideally situated for my visit and for anyone who is looking to visit Liverpool and the surrounding areas. Hale is a great little village. We spent the weekend there with our daughter and two dogs who all loved it. Was great for us as I was able to complete a belated Christmas catchup with my family. Everything was tidy, clean and all you needed was present.

Really lovely comfy cosy cottage in a village full of history. Great use of space. Everything available in the kitchen for a self catering break. There is however, a lovely local pub providing good food at reasonable prices along with good cask ales. Half hourly bus service into Liverpool city which runs until 22.00 which is excellent. If you want fast Wi-Fi this isn't the place for you but everything else first class.
