We enjoyed a lovely week staying in a very characterful cottage. It was warm with everything we needed. The location is ideal for Liverpool, Chester and Manchester. There are lovely walks close by along the Mersey. The fresh free range eggs supplied were a real treat.

Lovely comfy cottage, with every thing close at hand. Walks straight out the door. Found Airport a bit close for complete quiet, but otherwise a lovely relaxing place to stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage, filled with character both outside and inside, from the thatch on the roof to the beautifully maintained wooden beams, the cottage supplied all our needs and with attentive and friendly key holder close by everything was perfect. It is reputed that a local giant used to live in the property and I thought I could hear him snoring at night but my wife denies hearing anything. We would certainly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful sty in a lovely quiet village.

We had the most wonderful week at this amazing cottage. It's one of the best we've stayed in, so well equipped with everything you might need. The bed was so comfortable and the cottage so quiet we had 7 great night's sleep. The garden was perfect for our two border collie dogs and it was lovely to meet the two little pony's and the striking hens. The owners are really friendly and were kind enough to leave us milk, biscuits, dog treats and gorgeous freshly laid eggs. I would highly recommend this fantastic cottage which is steeped in history.
