Description

Newly renovated to a superior standard with stunning views across open farmland to the Lomond Hills

Cart Shed is a newly renovated semi detached cottage enjoying breathtaking, uninterrupted views over open countryside toward the Lomond Hills. The  interior of this wonderful property has been tastefully furnished and is very well appointed. The lounge has two marvellous large windows affording guests no other option than to sit back and enjoy the panorama. A lovely, cosy wood burning stove completes the tranquil ambience. The compact kitchen is well equipped with the benefit of a stunning view to boot! The double bedroom has a fantastic arched window, which was originally the opening of the doors into the cart shed. The cottage is part of a courtyard, one of three beautifully converted traditional stone built properties situated on a working farm at West Newton of Balcanquhal, only 2 miles from the pretty, rural village of Glenfarg where amenities include a shop, play park and tennis courts. If booked alongside the adjoining property Mill House, an internal joining door can be opened providing access between the two cottages. This would then offer accommodation for up to 8 people. If also booked with Steading Cottage then there is accommodation for up to 12 guests.
Cart Shed can be booked independently or together with  Steading Cottage (524002) nad Mill House (524037) close by to accommodate extended parties.

We had a lovely stay - the cottage is bright, spacious and airy, but manages to be cosy and warm at the same time. The views are simply gorgeous. A great place to use as a base to explore the surrounding areas - lots to do - or simply relax, chill and get away from it all. Friendly hosts, including Max the sheepdog, and a nice welcome package awaiting on arrival. If we are going to be in that area again, we would definitely book it again!

We had a lovely stay in this cottage. It's the perfect base for exploring the beautiful Scottish countryside and all the attractions the highlands have to offer. The views are breathtaking, and we were made very welcome by the owners.

An amazing cottage in a stunning location. The only issue we had was with local amenities, given that the nearest petrol station was about 10 miles away. However, this didn't detract from the lovely views, location and things to do in the area.

Lovely light and airy chalet with big picture windows out of which you can admire the cracking views. Quiet location on a working farm - however, no local facilities within walking distance, the nearest pub/restaurant (the Bein Inn - which we recommend) being approx. 1 1/2 to 2 miles away. Co-op at Bridge Of Earn, and Perth is only a few miles away, so not too bad. The only inconvenience was that the water took quite a while to get hot but we were informed of this by the owner when we arrived. But this is a minor gripe and we would definitely stay here again if in the area.
