The family in the apartment above us also stayed last year. They disturbed us every night this year and last year. Apart form that it was a lovely apartment. However we will not stay here again.

The reason we wouldn't stay again was because of the third bedroom on the basement floor. The problem was that this room felt cold, damp and foisty(there was an unpleasant odour) and the outlook from the window was dreadful. The apartment, apart from this, was of a high quality, well equipped and cosy.Just a pity about the third bedroom.

Cottage was poorly signposted and key lock box was not labelled making it difficult to find. Cottage needed a really good clean, floors and furniture dusty. Chairs and sofas needed replacing or repairing. Downstairs room smelt strongly of damp. Information directory needed updating and being first time visitors to the lake district it would have been really helpful to have better information on local supermarkets and what to do in the local area. Would perhaps suggest charging a little more and perhaps providing a small welcome hamper with a few essentials like bread, milk, etc.

We had a lovely holiday staying at Carrigbaun (although that is a name that we didn't see on the door, so we just refer to it as Swan House - much simpler). Very comfortable, very well equipped and outstanding views. We had a major problem with the electricity on the first night but the team were great and spent the whole evening putting it right, but further back up on the Monday, so pleased that when problems do occur there was somebody there to rectify them. All in all a great place to spend a week with the family (inc. young graddaughter).
