The cottage was lovely and warm and cosy, but also lovely and light in the day, not dark like some cottages can be. My friend and I had a lovely weekend and would definitely return. Many thanks for the wine and cake also for my friends special birthday!

A lovely cottage that has just as much thought and love put into it on the inside as it does from the outside. We have stayed in a number of holiday cottages but this was by far the most beautiful. There is plenty of space inside for 6 people to live comfortably. From my experience the cottages that look almost like show homes in the pictures can often be impractical and/or uncomfortable to live in. It was not the case with this cottage, and was certainly worth paying a little bit extra for the location which is perfect. A 5 minute pleasant walk to the lovely sand dune beaches, 2 minutes walk to post office, convenience store and chip shop, and a good pub across the road that you could not see or hear due to the angle of the cottage. We will be staying again in the future as it is a real gem. Thank you Jan X

The Captain's Cottage is the best holiday cottage we have ever stopped in.On arrival at the cottage Miss Bowles made us feel really welcome, showing us around all the property and giving us all the information we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The home made sponge cake she had provided for us was delicious!
