We were greeted and made to feel welcome on arrival. The rest of our stay was equally pleasurable. The house is spacious, very home-like, and lovely. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was large and well-equipped. The grounds are very well kept and the setting is almost magical, with beautiful vistas and peaceful surroundings. There are lovely walking paths just out the door, but the house is quite close to Dumfries, shops, etc. We could not have wished for better accommodations! We all look forward to returning.

Burnfoot is a smashing house, ideal for large groups/several families to stay together. It is spacious, clean and well equipped, with everything you could need for a self catered holiday. We stayed on a very cold and windy January weekend and so found the reception rooms chilly even with the fire lit! However the kitchen and bedrooms are lovely and warm. Would absolutely recommend this house to anyone wanting to explore Dumfries & Galloway and we hope to return ourselves.

This was an excellent venue for 8 elderly ladies!we had alot if fun and would happily return. Perhaps bedside tables would be useful. We were v lucky with the weather and so maybe a couple of garden rugs to lie on . otherwise it is a lovely house with lovely homely feel and I can see us return ing. Thank you

This house is perfect for a large family holiday. There are lots of things to do within a manageable drive, we enjoyed cycling in the forests and exploring Dumfries. There are lots of games and DVDs in the house if required and the welcome tray was very thoughtful.

Brilliant house for a large party of adults and small children. Large kitchen and dining table formed a focal point for our group. Great location for everything outdoors and something for everyone - climbing Criffle, walking along the coast, mountain biking at Dalbeattie and Mabie Forest and kayaking. We also made the short trip along the river and up to the Twelve Apostles stone circle one evening, which made a nice end to the day. No complaints, highly recommended!

It was perfect for our family gathering. My only negative is the door height in a couple of areas which nowadays is very low at 6 ft. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
