Overall we had a great experience. The house is perfect for large groups. Great location and the owner is extremely friendly. We had one issue with one of the double beds being broken but the owner did a temporary fix and I believe they are replacing the bed now. Otherwise the house was perfect for 17 people and 2 dogs!

Second time at this lovely house. Our family group had a lovely time here. Not just so suitable for my elderly father whose mobility continues to reduce. The floor coverings present trip hazards - tied floors down to floorboards and floorboards to wooden flooring in sitting room. The Aga in kitchen is so lovely and warm you hardly want to leave the house. Very well equipped house in a lovely peaceful setting.

The cottage is in a beautiful area secluded, quiet, yet not too far from all amenities (3.6 miles)Dumfries. Suitable for all ages with swings, fishing, walks, historic attractions or just some peace. Unfortunately only the weather was a distraction, rain and more rain, which cannot be controlled. However the important day, the wedding, was lovely and sunny, and went extremely well, apart from the pocket! All-in-all a great area of Scotland, and yes I would use it again.

The overall house was indeed spacious and just what we wanted ,however the downside was the cleanliness cigarette vapor canisters left in the bedroom we had for example. But the worst thing was the bed in the green painted room on the 1st floor, the slats that support the mattress many of them were missing and we couldn't sleep in the bed as the mattress fell to the floor, so had to sleep downstairs and to be honest that did spoil my holiday a bit ,that issue certainly needs addressing.

Lovely house in a great setting. Ideal for get-togethers with friends with plenty of space for all to eat in both the dining room and the kitchen. Lounge is very comfortable and the bedrooms and bathrooms are large. I would definitely recommend this property.

Absolutely fabulous holiday home feels like miles away from nowhere and yet 5 mins down the road you have tesco! Family met here including a newborn great grandson and all had a wonderful time from fishing to Archery provided by the great Grandad along with fly fishing lessons on the lawn for the younger generation. Very comfortable and clean and a lovely welcome from the ladies that met us at the door thank you Christine! Sadie is a wonderful addition for information about the lies of the fish!

Our family group of 15 (aged 9 - 70) thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is beautiful and the house is warm & comfortable. We all found plenty of places to interest us nearby and the children were quite happy playing around the house & garden.
