Description

Barn conversion with wonderful views, wood burner and stone floor, Brockholes Nature Reserve and Bowland Wild Boar Park close by.

In the heart of the Ribble Valley and converted from a 19th century barn, these holiday homes, all with wonderful views, are situated on the owners’ working sheep farm (owners offer lamb feeding March until May) and set in 170 acres of environmentally managed farmland in the heart of the Forest of Bowland (AONB). With walks from the doorstep, the area is also popular for cyclists and mountain bikers. There are several fisheries nearby including trout and fly fishing, and Whalley Golf Club is less than a mile away. Situated on a bridle path, there is stabling available on site (to be arranged directly with owner). Children will love Brockholes Nature Reserve, Bowland Wild Boar Park and the Roman museum at Ribchester. There is also a dry ski slope nearby at Pendle. Other places of interest include Gawthorpe Hall, Samlesbury Hall, Townley Hall and Clitheroe with its castle and museum. The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are both within an hour’s drive. There is a golf course approximately 1 mile away which is open to non-members. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting. The owners were lovely and helpful. We were there during the lambing season and we got to feed and hold the lambs. Would definitely return in the future and recommend to others.

We couldn't have had a nicer time. Cosy fires, warm beds and the countryside at our doorstep. Will be back in a heartbeat next time we're in the area.

Such a lovely cottage - the beds were comfy, the kitchen was a dream and the location was so peaceful. We were close to some great attractions suitable for all the ages in our party. The owners were so welcoming and friendly and happy to help us with anything. We would definitely look to stay here again if we visit the area in the future.
