Stayed their for 4 nights with my wife and 2 kids. Its an excellent cottage. Loved our stay. Its not that big as looks in the images but still very clean tidy and comfortable. I enquired about wifi before leaving and the owner said there is internet available through a cable but no wifi. I was little worried about it as my kids love to play games online etc. But next eve when I went their, the owner toldme that she has availed a router and wifi is enabled now in the cottage. It made my stay more pleasant :) I would recommend to stay in this cottage

Nice, clean cottage in a lovely quiet location. Had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Little bit of a drive to Loch Ness area where most visitor attractions are located.

    Response from: administrator

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Bothan a’ Bhile. Loch ness is a 30 – 40 minute drive North from the property and we are aware that this may be a lengthy journey to some although extremely scenic. There are however many attractions nearby the property that you have yet to discover. 10 minutes’ drive from the property is Nevis range mountain gondola, restaurant, walks, skiing, mountain biking and high wire experience. Ben Nevis (Britain’s highest mountain), Glen Nevis visitor centre, Lochaber Leisure Centre and the town of Fort William are only 20 minutes’ drive West from the property. Cairngorms National Park and all its attractions is a 30 minute drive East. Bothan a’ Bhile is located in Glen Roy National Nature Reserve and Lochaber Geo park. Cycling and walking are on your door step. We hope you will return and perhaps have more time to explore the local area and attractions to the West, East and South of the property.

A wonderful place to stay in a beautiful, peaceful, unspoiled location far from the madding crowd. The cottage is well-equipped, warm, comfortable and looks out over rolling fields and mountains - only the hay bales between you and the endless distance. The owners' house is directly behind the cottage - but cannot be seen from anywhere inside - giving you the security of help immediately on-hand along with the sense of complete isolation - perfect.

The lodge is very comfortable. The pictures make it look slightly bigger than it is but that isn't a problem. There's everything you need too cook and for entertainment, including board games, binoculars for nature watching if you like that sort of thing. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, even giving us a lift to the lodge when we couldn't get our car up and down some steep hills when it was snowy. The only thing we were slightly sad about is that the wood burner is electric, not real, but it still gave off good heat.
