Conveniently located just 3 miles from the New Forest National Park, these two converted holiday cottages adjoin each other. Blue Charm cottage is well situated for visiting the very nice pub with its good food and very friendly staff and locals. A lovely big grassy area is open to dogs for a good run. Overall, it is situated very well for exploring what the area has to offer. It is small but very comfortable and cozy. The only downside was the lack of a dustpan and broom!

We had a lovely long weekend stay in Blue Charm. The cottage is very small & cosy. Suited our family of 4 - 2 adults, baby & dog. However would imagine it is a squeeze with more than two adults. Would have liked a hoover to keep dog hairs under control otherwise cottage very well equipped. We didn't eat in the Compass pub but staff were very welcoming & helpful upon our arrival.

Cleanliness was poor (dog hairs on carpets/floors). Had to access second bedroom to use bathroom - not beneficial for a family. No toaster. Noisy taps in bathroom waking household up. Poor accommodation for a family. On the plus side the food in the adjoined pub was exceptional.

Great location, next door to a lovely pub with superb food, excellent beer and friendly locals, 2 legged and four legged. The whole set-up was exceptionally dog friendly, everything was within a couple of minutes walk, including a public dog walk. Lovely free range eggs available a couple of doors down, and centrally located for exploring the New Forest and rural Dorset.
