this was the 3rd time we have stayed here in the pased 5 years. howevr after this stay we feel the property in due some TLC (maitainance & updating). The Patio doors would not shut & lock unless someone pushed from the outside. The kitchen flooring is looking marked & damaged in places, some of the crockery & cultery were quite grumby when we got them out the cupboard needing to be cleaned before use & the shower extremely slow. We loved the location & th eoverall feel of this protery & would love to stay again bu twe would think twice before booking again

This is a lovely bungalow in a fantastic position. We have stayed most years over the last 5 years, however the bungalow is now run down and I'm afraid dirty. The fridge was not working properly when we arrived , credit to the owner that he replaced it straight away but we were some what surprised that we had to stay in and wait for its delivery .... which we did. All of the appliances are old and have mucky long term grubby marks on the surfaces used to open them. Some are also temperamental in operation. The flooring in the kitchen is stained and in places ripped. For an example of how old and run down the equipment is one might like to take a look at the frying pans....both unusable. The shower runs extremely hot and when adjusted slightly runs extremely cold, it is an art to adjust it to the right temperature. Staying with the bathroom, the tiles and finish is tired, poor quality and dirty. The sink tap either constantly runs or if you turn it off you can hardly turn it back on. The carpets throughout are worn and grubby as is the furniture . The pink suite in the living room has a dirty glow to it. These are just some examples of how run down this accommodation has become. YIt is an absolute shame as this bungalow is in a fantastic position with outstanding views.

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the owner; We are disappointed with the low score you have given in comparison with our other and usual high scores. As you arrived on Easter Saturday the earliest we could arrange delivery of a new fridge was the Tuesday after the bank holiday which we did and you seemed happy to accept the delivery. If we were aware this was not convenient to you we could have made alternative arrangements. We were disappointed that you did not like the replacement fridge. You advised us of a problem with the washer which we replaced with a new one after your departure. The remainder of the appliances (dishwasher, TV, hob etc.) are less than 2 years old. The comments about the cleaning standards are disappointing and will be given to our cleaning company. We will investigate carefully the shower as it is the first comment we have had about it being too hot/difficult to adjust and the standard of tiling since the recent bathroom renovation. The kitchen Lino/carpets will be replaced/cleaned at the earliest opportunity. We had numerous contacts with you throughout your stay and are disappointed that the other problems were not highlighted at the time (like the fridge and washer) as we could have taken remedial action immediately.

The cottage was excellent Warm, welcoming and in a great quiet location, we had great weather lots of snow so choose an excellent week to stay. The only bad thing to say is that we found the beds old squeaky and uncomfortable and the shower head didn't fit properly in it's holder. But this didn't spoil our holiday and enjoyed Aviemore. I would defiantly recommend the cottage and would defiantly stay again.

Cottage was warm, clean and was well stocked with all you would need. Beautiful views and well situated in a quiet culdesac. It's location is central enough and easy to find after I used Google maps. Our stay had the added bonus of lots of snow which we'd really hoped for and it made for a very enjoyable stay. Would definitely recommend and return myself to stay there.

A lovely cosy cottage; finding a property with a wood burner was a great bonus and having it situated in the sun room with the beautiful views of the mountains was great. It also meant the children could watch television in the lounge whilst we could have adult time but still keep a close watch on them. Ideally situated in a quiet area on the outskirts of town, but close to local shops and the leisure facilities at the golf course/club.
